November 30th i recieved an email with a invoice for supposed rental property damages i was going to be charged for as well as cleaning charges. Rental property is keeping my $600 deposit but also wanting to charge me an additional $378 for things such as 2 replaced blinds and replaced melted siding on back patio. The pictures of the blinds had cat teeth marks in them which i never had a pet on the property. My rental agreement says i had to pets as well. Both blinds were like that prior to moving in. Also never had a grill or anything that could have melted the back patio siding. Manage informed me not to put a grill back that prior to moving in because it could melt siding so i made sure not to. They never sent me photo proof of the melted siding also. I reached out to discuss the charges with the manager both from email and mobile phones, she has not responded to any of them which she usually responds very quickly when i was living there. i called the front office and the girl in the front confirmed that i had contacted the correct email and number and agreed it was weird that i have not gotten a response in over a week. She also informed me they could get me pictures of the property when past tenants moved out so i can be sure i am not getting charged for their damages but i am still waiting on that and i was told that Friday Dec, 6 2024. I am still waiting to hear from them. I also have read reviews with other people complaining the same issue with not being able to get ahold of the property manager after she sends the invoice and she avoids them until after the payment deadline in which they get sent to collections. I am trying to avoid this issue happening to me and to any people in the future. If i am going to be forced to pay these fees without proof to avoid collections then id like to be given proof that they replace these damages so the next tenants do not have the same issue as i and past tenants have had with this business.
