Two weeks ago I bought a 17 week old pug that was having a hard time being sold. I felt bad she had to spend her day in a small plastic cubical and nights in a kennels with no water dish. They told me she got two walks a day which I find hard to believe since she had no idea what to do on a walk when I got her. Right away when she got to our house she began making cow pie p*** that had blood and a bad smell. I contacted puppy house the next morning to let them know. The lady thought it was the new food or she needed deworming. I told her it started before introducing the new food and blood in stool isnt normal. I told them being a new patient my vet couldnt see me until the 7th, but to bring in a stool sample. They lady said to keep all receipts so I could be reimburse. Two days later I got results and the dog had giardia and I would have to take her to emergency to be treated. I took her to the emergency room to do full exam and she also had a double ear infection. I called puppy house to let them know they sold me a sick dog. Manager said they didnt sale me a sick dog and she has a parasite which is common. They also wouldnt reimburse me. I also brought up the double ear infection and for a place that does frequent check *** I dont get how both symptoms could be missed. Im sure the other dogs were exposed and hopefully have been treated. The manager never apologized and just offered me my money back which I thought she should have at least paid for medicine. Why would I want to give back the dog I fell in love with and who finally has a home.She said per contract giardia isnt covered. Just know if you buy a dog your taking a chance on getting a sick one. I also received later super rude text messages from puppy house that I have saved. To me they care more about the money. I will never shop their again.
