I drove into a parking lot to pick up food at ************************* around 8:08 pm on September 16, 2021. It was dark. The sun set on September 16, 2021 around 7:19 pm. I thought we were driving to a space connected to the restaurant. However, not two minutes after arriving at the space, someone abruptly came upon my front window, started placing something on my window and taking photos. I was shocked and distressed because I was alone with my two children in a poorly lit parking area. I had no idea what was happening or why he was taking photos of me and my children. When I asked what was going on, the attendant, unmasked, yelled at me that this was a parking spot for the apartment building and that it was "clearly marked." He did not ask me to move my car, which I would have gladly done, nor did he ask for a fee to park in the space. It was not "clearly marked" as it was very dark and no sign or parking notations were visible. I had no idea that this space was for the apartment building as it's directly adjacent to the restaurant. I had no idea that I was not allowed to park there. There was no visible sign as I entered the parking lot. I attempted to reason with him, which he ignored. My partner also tried to talk to him, after we'd left the space, but he would not hear it. We were in the space for approximately two minutes prior to this very distressing interaction. It was clear that any dispute resolution would be futile, they would not listen to reason, they were only interested in collecting fees at any cost, whether reasonable or not.

We have included a photo taken of ******************** vehicle parked in a marked reserved parking space.  The stenciling on the ground is 12" letters painted in white.  Pretty hard to miss especially when your headlights hit it.

The parking space is marked "Reserved".  The entire parking lot is a pay lot.  It's adjacent to the restaurant they were going to and is in a completely separate parking lot.  It has a 4-foot sign posted at the entrance and numerous signs posted throughout the parking lot.
