I dont understand what they charged me supposedly it wasnt covered under the insurance I havent gotten a hold of insurance yet the bill was over a million dollars and for some reason just this wasnt covered now its gone to collections even though I made a payment and **** continues to call thought maybe you could help sound physician set me up on a payment plan and I pd $77.50 on 12/30/24.Initial Complaint

I received a notice of billing from; Sound Physicians Anesthesiology of CA PC-*********************************** dated December 18, 2024. The notice received states the insurance information provided was incorrect or missing information and it requested I log in online to pay a bill. I have private insurance, and did not seek, receive or authorize any medical attention or services outside of my private insurance carrier. I notified my insurance carrier whom was not made aware or received an inquiry from this company. Im not sure how this company obtained my personal health information and address to send me this notice. I made several attempts to contact Sound Physicians Anesthesiology of CA at the phone number provided, ************ to request additional information with no success. It only states via an automated system that I owe $2030.50 with no date of service or type of services provided. Apparently this notice is fraudulent and or mistaken identity. Im requesting Sound Physicians Anesthesiology of CA remove me from their records and not pursue any further action, including; but not limited to collections. Please provide me with notice of resolution. This is fraudulent. Thank youInitial Complaint

I received medial care at the emergency room Sept 2024. The bills resulting from that visit were all paid in full through my insurance company, *****************. I have receipt from both my credit card and health insurance that I paid the bill that Sound Physicians is claiming unpaid. I have made multiple phone calls and have wrote to their chat box with the same answer. Theyll look into my account and send any remaining balance. Ive asked to get in contact with someone in upper management or to at least get a legitimate email so I can send proof of payment with no luck. I dont want to pay the same bill twice and cant seem to get ahold of anyone to send my document proof to.Business response

I had noticed that a collection agency had put a $990 bill for Sound Physicians Intensivists of ******** on my credit report. I disputed it with the collection agency who took it off my credit report then turned around and sold the debt to another collection agency that put it back on my credit report. I tried to contact Sound Physicians Intensivists of ******** for records on 10/31. They were mailing billing history out to me. To date I have received nothing. I verified my address with them on the phone (which was correct already) and requested records to be resent. I have no idea where my original records went to and who is going to see them. Also, I do not believe this is my bill as I live in ************ and have never had health care in the state of ********. When I call Sound Physicians, I asked if Sound Physicians in ******** would bill someone in ************ and all she could keep saying is "ma'am, we do the billing. We only the do billing here." ************ that was noted on a document collections sent me was Bon Secours RMC which is in ********. I contacted Bon Secours and they have no record of me in their system. The collection agency is telling me they can't take it off because it's my bill and I am getting no help from Sound Physicians. I don't know how Sound Physicians is still operating when they do not bill things correctly. I have a screenshot of the chat on my phone that I can't upload on this computer, but can send that if needed, if I'm provided contact info where Bon Secours is saying they have no record of me in their system.Initial Complaint

A couple months ago our son got stitches at **************** in ******, **. We received the itemized bill from *** and paid it. Now 2 month later I received a bill with my young sons name on it for $1887 with no explanation what the charge is for from this out of town company we have never heard of!! It says we will be sent to collections immediately if we dont pay it! This company is a scam and obviously stealing peoples information from hospitals. They need to be shut down.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
As previously stated this bill has been fully paid to the hospital we visited. We received an itemized bill from TMC ****** after our visit and it covered everything we received including the service & supplies used. This company was in none of the paperwork we signed or received from the hospital. A quick search of reviews shows a very long history of negative reviews on this company mostly double charging people for hospital visits!

I had Loma ***** ************************* and had a medical procedure at a ************************ on 2/21/24. *************** contracts with Sound Physicians Anesthesiology of CA for anesthesia services. Per my insurance, the contracted rate for the procedure was $394.25, which they paid out to Sound Physicians. Subsequently, Sound Physicians has sent me a surprise bill for the remainder of the fee for $954.80. I have contacted the company to report the error. Sound Physicians said they would send me a link to upload my Explanation of Benefits. However, they simply sent me a link to pay the bill. ***************************************** informed me that this is a common issue with this provider. Sound Physicians frequently bill patients for balances even though they already have a contractual rate in place with ***************.Business response

I appreciate the provided information, the *** you have shared shows the payment for the medication and not the anesthesia provider, which is who we are billing for. Did you receive another *** for this procedure? We are reaching back out to your insurance company to see what is required for payment, as of this time they have not accepted the 2 claims we have sent.Customer response

I had a small stroke on 11/25/24. 2 of the doctors that saw me bill through this company. As of today, they have refused to correctly bill my insurance and are sending me bills. Each time I receive one, I contact my insurance, which then contacts them, to give them the correct billing information. I just want them to properly bill my insurance.Initial Complaint

I was in a car accident in September of 2020. I had to go to the ** at ****************** in ******, ** that same day due to a fractured toe. I have auto insurance through ********** and they took care of everything as far as billing went for this ******** July of 2023, I got a negative hit on my ********** credit report. It was a collection that was sent to an agency (**************) on the behalf of Sounds Physician. I went through the dispute process to get this immediately removed because I take pride in my credit history/score. I was able to get it ********** July of 2024, I was then going through the same situation again! Sound Physicians sent me to collections again, this time to a different collection agency (**********************) and for the same date that I got into a car accident in September of 2020. This time, this collection is on my Equifax Report and I tried to go through the dispute process again. ******* would not dispute saying that the collection belonged to me, when it did not, since State Farm paid them (which they sent proof to me that they indeed paid the amount in full).I am scared to apply for anything because of this situation that Sounds Physicians keeps creating. I have worked hard to maintain a great credit history and they are tarnishing it. I want this removed from my credit report and I want them to stop harassing me with these collection agencys and take my name out of their system!Initial Complaint
