I purchased my first Lamiglas fishing rod in 2022 from a local retailer who sold me on the idea of the lifetime warranty. During Salmon season that year I purchased a second rod because I liked the first one so much. By the end of the season both rods had broken in the process of fighting fish in *******, **. I applied for the warranty and was told they did not have the tips in stock but they would send me replacements as soon as they were made. Nine months later it was nearing salmon season again and I needed a rod so I contacted Lamiglas to find out where the replacements were. They informed me they still did not have replacement tips but they would give me a discount on the purchase of a new rod so I decided to upgrade to the more expensive rods (~$600 EA). On the first fish I hooked in trout ************* of the new SI series rod broke. I contacted Lamiglas to which they stated they do not have those rod tips made yet but would send me a new one once they were made. They stated they did have the two rod tips for my first two rods and they would send them out, that was in October of 2023 and it's now January of **** with no replacements in site. I would like a full refund for the three rods I've purchased so I can replace them with ****** Rods.Initial Complaint

I purchased 4 new Lamiglas fishing rods CG 70 DR * Classic Glass 7' ****lb Cast **************** Troll) I received the Rods on 8-9-2023 I immediately realized that these rods were way to light of action and I went on the website and filled out a return form and submitted it. It said someone from Lamiglas will reach out within 8 days. Return Policy states has to be returned within 30 days with $25.00 restocking fee. I am ok with that my mistake. I waited about two weeks and called them since I had not been contacted by them. By the way customer service lady was very nice...Thanks for your help, customer service does not handle returns but I gave her the info and she said she would pass info to returns and they should get in touch with me shortly. No Call no email no nothing. Called back the following day and customer service was again very polite. This time she said I will send an email to them with my info to help speed this up. I voiced my concern that I am in NY and still need to ship these back I don't want to exceed the thirty days on your return policy. I waited another several days nothing. I called again now its 8-28-23 customer service puts me on hold and comes back saying that returns **** would reach out by end of day. Nothing Now its 9-1-23 and I am trying to get a hold of them via phone again. Look I have 4 other downrigger rods from Lamiglas I love and use often. I am not out to get anything for free I just want to return these rods for a refund because they are not what I was expecting and I am willing to eat the $25.00 restocking fee no problem. Why does this have to be so difficult.Initial Complaint

I sent back my fishing pole which had a lifetime warranty for defects in materials 10/27/22. I had attempted to make contact on 11/10/22; 11/15/22; 11/16/22 with no response. I finally got a call and was told the issue would be resolved. I never heard anything until I notified the company on 1/11/2023 that I needed my rod back. I received it back today 1/12/2023, un repaired and was returned to me in some flimsy cardboard packaging, not the original 8' PVC tube I had sent it to them in (the rod is one piece 7'9" long). I have owned many of these rods over my 67 years and only had a couple issues that were taken care of with no problem with the past management. I understand there was a change in the company with the loss of several of the original staff. I only want my rod repaired or replaced as is should have been and returned in the proper packagingInitial Complaint

I bought my husband a Lamiglass rod through an authorized distributor, **********, with a lifetime warranty for Christmas 2 years ago. He broke it the following summer and we sent it in for the warranty repair. They've had it since then and they stopped responding to us in about August of this year. They offered to upsell us a newer model, but we just want his fishing rod back. We've emailed them as well as called and left voicemails, but we have not heard from them at all since August of this year. The rod was sent back to them in the summer of last year. We don't even get the update emails anymore. I can ask my husband for copies of his emails to them but there are no responses to most. He ended up buying another fishing rod, cheaper and of a different brand, because he's without one because of this. I'm concerned we aren't going to get it back since they won't respond to us or even give an estimated time frame. I would also appreciate an apology as it was $300-$400 to purchase and I wouldn't of paid that if the warranty is not going to be honored.Initial Complaint

On 9/12/22 I submitted my service and warranty submission to Lamiglas and was emailed a receipt saying they would get back to me in no more than ***************************************************************************************************************** touch about a replacement section or repair. As is listed in their warranty "All you need to do is submit a Warranty Check-In form on our website with the required photos. If the problem is due to an unfortunate accident, misuse, alteration or normal wear & tear, we will advise you of the cost of replacement." This rod cost a lot of money and the fact that they can't even answer inquiries is extremely offensive to the fishing community.Initial Complaint

I have a 2 year old Lamiglas ************* Pin rod. While fighting a fish in early April my rod snapped in half. I submitted a warranty complaint following the company policy. I got no reply so I have called daily. Toward the end of May, I got a hold of a company rep on the phone who confirmed my complaint had been received and that I would qualify for a new upper rod section. She told me that the company was expecting new sections soon and I would get a replacement. Three months later I have had no follow up communication and no one answers their phone when I call. The rod cost $600. I want the broken section replaced and the company has taken no action to make this right.Business response

Hello *******, We have you on our backorder list for the top half of your rod. We informed you we would contact you once we get them back in stock. We still do not have these available for warranty replacements. We are working on all top halfs of our rods so it does take some time to make these. If you cannot get through to our customer service reps via phone, email ****************************************Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I did email the company a few weeks ago and did not get a response to my email. I was told two months ago that they were making new rod tops so I am not sure this should take so long. I hope to get the rod top and would be happy if it was soon since our fishing season starts in 6 weeks. The rod broke three and a half months ago and it was reported immediately.
Sincerely,

I purchased a fishing road from Local Sporting good store, they no longer do business with Lamiglass because the customer service was poor and it reflected on them terribly. Long story short my lamiglass rod broke it was shipped back to lamiglass for repair or replace, somewhere between the store and lamiglass my receipt disappeared, odd but any way the told me i could send them $99.95 for a rod they would ship me one that was not broke. first off the rod they have is brand new , if this is how the treat there customer i would i donate another $99.95 to them. They ordered tips that don't fit , they lost my receipt and now want me to buy another rod !! Great SCAM LAMIGLASS. I told them they could send me the rod back when they got the correct size tip. I am still unsure how there lack quality and responsibility became my worst nightmare. from all the complaints about the same thing a Class Action Lawsuit should be started if one has not been done already! I just want a fishing pole that work and is not broken.Initial Complaint

Purchase a high end Lamiglass Infinity rod because they boasted a no questions asked lifetime warranty. The rod ended up breaking. When i tried to use the warranty, Lamiglas refused and stated that they have a new policy and voided all warranties on their rods. The item would not have been purchased if not for the lie about the warranty.
