HORRIBLE JOB Hired these guys a couple of years ago and they did a very bad job. The product they use is not standard asphalt and very low grade material. They also did not slope my driveway right so I now have standing water to deal with. What a waste of money. I will now have to call another company to do it right.

They stopped by last fall and said they were working in the area and wondered if I would be interested in having my very long driveway paved. I received one of their flyers in the mail at least twice. I had been contemplating doing this so had researched costs, etc. They offered a cost of $19,000 which is at least $4,000 - $6,000 less than other companies. Driveway looked great when they finished but this spring weeds started growing through the asphalt. I have been calling and texting them since 6/16/23. I spoke with Henry and Robert twice - both stating they would send someone out to fix the problem. So, after those conversations, 4 more voice messages and several texts, they have not called me back or been out to do the repairs. I want the problem fixed or my money returned or I will be contacting an attorney.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH J&H! They quoted high, but then called back with a 'deal' at $1500 less than originally quoted IF I could do it today (this was in June, 2022). Timing worked so I said ok. They did repair and resurface my existing driveway, but the quality was inferior. Asphalt grain was thick, like for base or industrial application. Also culvert collapsed on one side. I called and Henry told me to call them back in August to schedule repair & sealing in Sept. I've repeatedly called and messaged but no call back. Also, the asphalt that was removed was dumped into the creek that runs through my yard. This is wrong and bad business.

I hired J&H Paving to resurface my driveway, they sent me some advertisement in the mail, I called. The same day they called and said they could do the job because they were in the area and had extra pavement. They finished in a hurry and wanted payment, I looked at the job and thought the asphalt was low grade because it had large stones and the stones were on the surface. I told the crew boss he said no this was the best asphalt and would hold 100,000 lbs. and last 25 years. After we made the payment we asked for a receipt, he said he would e mail us one. The receipt had misspelled words and no company name. Very unprofessional. We called to complain about some cracks and ridges in the asphalt, they said they would be back to do the repairs. We called and texted but have not heard back from them, it has been a month. I would not have this company do anything on my property ever again.

I hired J and H Paving to resurface my driveway. They came by and gave me an estimate and assured me it would be a quality job that would last for years. They would spray the surface to make sure the overlay would stick. Owner left and this never happened. They finished the job late in the day and there were areas that were not rolled properly. I had to have them take the roller off the truck and come back to roll the areas out better. The vibrator on the roller sounded like it was falling apart. The roller wasn't working very well! Weeks after there is an area where I park my car and there are wheel marks sinking into the driveway. They did not clean up after themselves and a worker said they would be back in the morning to take care of it, never showed. After getting ahold of them they said they would look at it, they finally looked at it and said they may be out later in the week to make repairs, again no show. I have messaged them several times with no answer from them. Do not do business with them as you will be sorry! They have the right equipment, but they do not do a very good job.

I hired J&H to patch and seal the driveway and parking lot at the business I am employed at. They had some blacktop dropped of in the middle of the parking lot piled up blacktop at each spot that had chunks of blacktop missing rolled over each spot a few times then moved on all of the patches have loose blacktop that I can remove stones from and they all hump up about an inch to two inches. The blacktop that was left in the middle of the parking lot was cold by the time they got to it so they rolled over it and left it I could of done a better job with cold patch and my truck tire. Then they moved on to seal the old blacktop. I could hear a blower removing the loose debris before they sealed. The next morning when I could walk around and inspect it they miss a lot of spots when sealing and sealed over dirt the wasn’t loose enough to just blow away. When I called Robert and told him about the patches and sealing he said he’d be back that day or the next to fix it. He came back after I was done working and resealed some of the spot but didn’t remove the dirt before spraying but didn’t touch the patches. I called again he told me they weren’t a fly by night outfit and he’d have his guys come fix it but that’s the last I’ve heard from him a spent the next two weeks calling all three numbers asking for a reply and emailed photos of the work they did and requesting they fix it and have not received a responds. Learn from my mistakes do your research and don’t pay till they do the work to your satisfaction. I was told they’d fix any issues that came up, total lie.

I hired J&H Paving to do a large re-pave job over the top of my existing pavement July 2021. 1. The owner, Robert W**** lied to me about all of the prep work that would be done, very little of it was. He also promised a professional job that would look great and last 25 years. 2. The unprofessional and unqualified crew arrived late. 3. They needed my help changing the blade in their concrete saw. 4. Without asking, they went into my back yard, turned on my hose and drug it though my landscaping, knocking over some plants and damaging a downspout. 5. Dumped asphalt right over my landscaping. 6. Laid asphalt over dirt and leaves in my driveway. 7. Drove skid steer on my lawn rutting it up. 8. Killed a bunch of grass, must have dumped something on it. 9. Left garbage in my yard. This is what they left me with: A completely unacceptable pavement job, riddled with obvious quality flaws including tons of porosity, sloppy edges, uneven pavement, rough transitions, incorrect slopes, sticks in the mix (that are now coming out), etc. I complained to the owner and crew while the project was in process and was assured these issues would be corrected, but instead, they were just in a big hurry to get to their next job, and they left my property without fixing the flaws to my satisfaction or at all. Mr. Wells did not even show up to see the finished job, I think he knows what he left me with. He said he would come out and address my issues but just stopped returning calls. I had a different “recommended” asphalt company come and look at this mess and they literally could not believe how bad it was and said that the crew clearly didn’t know what they were doing. The other company said that this cannot be fixed and needs to be ripped up and completely redone. The only reason I paid these crooks was to prevent them from putting a lien on my property plus I was assured that they would do whatever it took to make me a satisfied customer. I DO NOT recommend hiring J&H Paving!
