On 10/9/24 I purchased a used truck from a dealership. I was sent a notice in the mail that my sensors weren't covered under the power train warranty. I was told I could purchase a service through ***** but now found out it was through Auto Renewal Center. I approved $100 monthly for the service coverage. I was not told that they took out a loan for $4,411.80 @ 11% for 48 months total sale price of loan is $5,781.90. I got the paperwork with my forged signature on it which I have copies of. I never e-signed anything for the said loan. I called to cancel the service when I saw they illegally took out the loan on 11/13/24 it was approved by ********* ***** at Auto Renewal Center. I want a refund & the loan canceled. I contacted ***** who kept saying I had to call the dealership which I didn't know what she meant since I didn't go through a dealership to get it. I was finally told to contact Auto Renewal Center & send them a notarized letter asking to cancel the loan. I was told I have to continue to pay it for 6-8 weeks because I will default on the said loan if I don't continue paying. I've tried contacting Auto Renewal Center with no response. I need help to resolve this. I don't want the forged loan or it to affect my ********** want a refund on all charges they took from me.Business response

On 12/23/24 I got a letter in the mail saying final notice and it was days after getting a real recall letter from *****. The AUTO RENEWAL CENTER sent the card and said to call within 5 days. I called and was told about how my warranty wasnt good anymore and that they (auto renewal center) was certified by ***** for warrantys. Said it was $100 today, asked for my card information and I gave him just the card number but didnt give him the ccv or the expiration date like he asked. He then said oh look I guessed it and then it went through. Then had me e-sign a paper about the warranty but it never said it was a loan or a contract. He had my social security number when I NEVER gave it to him nor did he ask. Then the email I got wasnt not the same one I e signed. The one he sent me was a loan application and contract for $6,000+ when he never once said anything about a loan nor did I say he could run my credit or anything about a loan. Now I cant get a hold of customer support by phone or email. Line5 answered and told me to call the auto renewal center support number and tell them I want to cancel but I cant get a a hold of anyone. I need this canceled and my $100 refunded!Business response

On November 4th I got roped into a loan/warranty with auto renewal center that I don't need under the pretenses that if I put a deposit down, I'd be able to refund it within 30 days if I looked over the paperwork and wasn't satisfied. "No callbacks" allowed for whatever reason which is the first red flag. I immediately called line5 and cancelled my policy with them, and they told me to reach out to auto renewal to inform them. Now they have my $100 deposit and if still says it's a pending charge for almost a week. I called to get it refunded and there was a reversal on my bank which showed up on November 5th, but isn't showing up anymore. With all the shady business practices employed, along with ******* ******* being extremely rude and aggressive, I'm filing a report so that I get my money back, and keep this shady company from charging me for a service that doesn't even exist.Business response

I am writing to file a complaint regarding my *************** Contract (Contract # MAS347101825) with Auto Renewal Center. I joined the policy on Friday, October 18th, and on the same day, I decided to cancel the contract because I no longer need the coverage. Despite multiple attempts to contact them through both phone and email, my cancellation request has not been processed or ***************** is a detailed timeline of my attempts to resolve this issue:October 18th (Friday): I joined the *************** Contract and immediately decided to cancel it. I contacted Auto Renewal Center the same day via email to request cancellation, but I did not receive any response.October 21st (Monday): I followed up with call and email to Auto Renewal Center. They acknowledged my request and stated that the cancellation would be processed via phone, but I never received any confirmation or further communication.October 30th (Wednesday): I called Auto Renewal Center to inquire about the status of my cancellation. During the call, I was told that my cancellation request had not been processed. I reiterated my request to cancel the contract, and they assured me that it would be handled within 48 hours.Despite the assurance given on October 30th, I have still not received any confirmation, and my contract has not been canceled. Throughout this process, I have made every effort to contact them both via email and phone, but to date, I have not received the necessary confirmation or action to finalize the cancellation. Line 5, the loan company associated with this policy, has sent me a statement requesting payment, even though my cancellation request remains unresolved.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that the BBB can assist in facilitating a resolution, as I have yet to receive any response or confirmation from MotoAssure.Business response

On October 16, 2024, I contacted Auto Renewal Center to inquire about a paper notice that was sent in the mail. The notice read "FINAL NOTICE," so I decided to call the number listed to see what this notice was about. I was informed that since this was the "Final Notice," I wouldn't be able to call back to sign up for an extended warranty. After stating that I wanted to review the policy before making any commitments, I was informed that I would still be required to apply for the loan, as required by Line 5, and that I would need to put $100 down to "hold my spot." I was told that this would be refunded should I choose to cancel and that I was signed up for the 30-day review period. I explained that I was still feeling uncomfortable with filling out a loan application and a soft credit check, and was still somehow pressured into applying. I was again assured that I would be able to cancel at any point, especially within the 30-day review period. Immediately regretting this entire phone call and process, I attempted to contact customer service, which brings you to an AI representative and you give your name and number for a call back. I called a few times over two hours, and I also called the activation line I initially called so I could actually speak with a live agent (several of which transferred me to random departments-- which I understand, they are not customer service). I ended up hearing back the next day (after I sent a strongly worded email), and spoke with a live agent. I told the agent that I wanted to cancel this "policy" and that I wanted the $100 refunded. I was told I would be receiving a refund within 24 hours, cancellation documents via email within 3-4 days, and Line 5 would be calling to confirm. None of these things have happened yet. I have been clear that I did not want to commit to any loan or policy, and that I simply wanted to review the policy. I find this entire situation extremely shady and frustrating.Business response
