My bank closed my debit card out because they have been taking money out of my account for a credit score. I did not authorize them to do this. They have been doing it since November 2023. I called a number *************) and no one picked up the phone. They wanted me to put in my social security number and then said that they don**;t have an account with me. I would like to get a refund.Business response

We are in receipt of ************************ complaint. Records indicate that ******************** signed up for services from an IP address in ***********, **, the same city and state in which she resides. At the time of sign up ******************** completed a 4-page process that required her date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information, as well as completing a third-party identity verification. Further, when ******************** signed up she was sent a welcome email, which contained the order information/cost as well as the methods in which we can be reached for assistance or cancellation, which was sent to the same email address that was used on this complaint. ******************** not only signed up for services, she authorized the billing. ******************** could have contacted us at anytime to cancel, however, the first notification that she wished to discontinue services was the receipt of this complaint. Upon receiving this complaint ************************ account was immediately cancelled, and even though she was not eligible for any refunds, a courtesy refund has been issued. As ******************** has been cancelled and was refunded we request this complaint be closed.Customer response

On March 4 at 4:07 central time. I signed up to get my credit score for a personal loan. At 4:09 and 24 seconds they charged my account *****. When I tried to get a refund a recording said I did not follow the rules of canceling my account within five days I went over by a day. I became furious and left a message saying this company is not following their own policies. It took three calls I finally get a response saying it will take 14 days for a manger to approve the refund and the chances of getting a refund is slimBusiness response

As ****************** stated, she did sign up for services. She was charged $29.95 (not $24.95). She was outside her 7 day trial period when she called to cancel and was not entitled to a refund, however a courtesy refund has *** issued.Initial Complaint

I logged on to Checkfreescore on 09/056/23 to get a free one time credit report because my personal information had been hacked. I was offered a trial subscription to their services but did not accept it. Without my permission or consent or notification they started charging me $39.90 per month. Charges were made on 09/13/23 and 10/13/23. I called them and was told the service would be cancelled and a refund would be issues. I was given a confirmation number of C3498479785. However, on 11/13/23 another charge was made to my credit card, I called them again on 12/05/23 and was told by Anita that there had been a problem with my previous request but my plan would now be cancelled, and a refund request had now been submitted and that I would receive notification of this action by email. Because I have not heard from them I again called them today, 12/21/23 and talked to Rachel. They confirmed that my plan had been cancelled but would not agree to a refund. The charges now total $119.70. I had signed up with Krol Monitoring in September because of the breech and I had no reason to want another credit monitoring plan. Freecheckscore did not have my permission or consent to issue the plan. When I have called them and explained that what they did was fraud and wanted a refund they tried to convince me that I needed the protection and went on and on with their sales pitch. It appears to me that they know their actions were fraudulent, but they ignore the facts and try to divert my attention.Initial Complaint

At the end of September 2023 I signed up for a week free services to check my credit score after that before the week was over I signed up for their services should be the first part of October I called them first to see if I can make payment at the first of the month not realizing it was already the first of the month payment set up then I had fraudulent activity on my bank card so I needed to let them know of my new bank card number so they could take their monthly fee out of that account meanwhile the person on the phone could not take my bank card information they said I had to go to the porthole and sign in to do it that way with the assistant from their company's employee prompting me on what to put down on that portholes at the bottom of that it said charge of $39.90 their representative assured me that I owed click free score $12.95 for the month of October and that I would be refunded what was left after taking it out of the $39.90 but I had to wait after 3 days to get a email from the company letting me know when I would be receiving the remainder amount when I did not receive a email confirmation I called them again which would have been approximately 7 Days later then I was told I have two accounts opened and they apologized and said that I owed nothing until January 4th 2024 and that I would be refunded the full amount of $39.90 for my inconvenience now it is December 2023 and I received $1 refund and they closed out one account meanwhile now they're trying to charge me $39.90 for the new account that was opened during this time period I have been discussing this with them every week and being reassured that I was going to be refunded that full amount not only with time spent on hold also calling them back now they're not going to refund me anything I have no proof of what I am saying but they do they kept all calls that I have called them why would I have two accounts opened at the same time it just makes no senseInitial Complaint

I got scammed by a bot using this site. I thought I was looking into my credit score for a new apartment and realized I was speaking with a bot. Quickly unsubscribed, but searched and realized that even after unsubscribing, many users get charged about $40/month I've typed nonsense to the apartment site and it keeps responding. My amount of money I paid to the company will probably change, according to what I've now seen online. I just caught it early. I feel like an idiot.Initial Complaint
