I took my truck to Midas to have my power steering line's replaced, they were leaking. They kept my truck for 6 day's, the told me they were working on it the Saturday that I took it in, August 26th 2023, then I was told they hadn't started working on it until Monday August 28th 2023. I told them to replace both lines and the communications between the two people working was a problem. While changing the power steering line's, they broke one of the lines of in the rack and pinion and there for, I had tonhsve them replace the rack and pinion. When I got the truck back August 31th, 2023 it was running rough and my air conditioner and ***** control wasn't working. There were light's on my dashboard that was lit up so I drove it back and they hook an engine scanner up to it and turn them off, but shortly they came back on. The did remove a wire harness that shouldn't have removed, evidently, the some how pulled a wire loose and tried to repair it, Instead of replacing it with a new one. The wire harness should not have been removed, it didn't have anything to do with replacing the power steering line's. The wire harness control's the air conditioner, ***** control, electric clutch fan, and control's other components in the truck. The harness shorted out and melted the wire's and plug. I had to replace it and I had to order it from ***** It cost me $71.00. I should be reimbursed for the wire harness at lease, I feel I should be reimbursed for the rack and pinion also. They never call me but once in the six day's they had my truck, only to tell me they broke off the line in the rack and pinion and that was on Wednesday August 30th 2023. I had to call them and I called them several times through the *** days they had my truck.

I took my car t9 midas about 2 years ago and had front and back brakes put on my and paid around $400 and was told that it's a lifetime warranty on them. Well today I went back and was told with having a lifetime warranty I stall had to pay labor which will be $189 for the front and $189 for the back. That means I will be paying $400 again for brakes. Doesn't make since.

In June of 2021 we took our vehicle to a midas store to have our muffler repaired. After inspection they let us know both catylictic convererters and the whole exhaust piping and muffler needed to be replaced. We approved the $2700 repair. After getting the car back it was still loud so we took it back and they told ** they accidentally put the wrong muffler on the car. So they then fixed it again. After that it still was not fixed. So we took it to a diffeent muffler shop. The mechanic at this shop said he would not touch our vehicle because the job Done was so improperly that he was afraid to get involved. We then took it back to midas and they said They needed to replace a bolt that was bad When we receive the car back there was grease rubbed all over the ceiling of our Van. About a month ago so 21 months after the repair, we noticed that the Van became very loud again. We took it to a belle tire to have it inspected. The mechanic at belle tire informed ** that the exhaust pipe had been welded to one of the catalytic converters and the weld had Broken off. The mechanic informed ** that the job was done improperly and there was no phlange used to connect the exhaust to the car and that a muffler shouldn't be welded to the catylictic converter. He told ** we would need a new catylictic converter and new piping. We have been in contact with Midas corporate but they are unwilling to fix the vehicle for free even though the work was done improperly. They say we are past our 90 day labor warranty. But the work was done wrong and our exhaust system fell off our car 20 months after the repair.

I strongly believe that Midas took advantage of me in fixing my car because I am a woman and I don't have knowledge about cars. I bought new spark plugs and when I took my car for service, *****, the manager I have been in contact with stated they were loose and that his guys tightened it up for me. I started having issues with my car. The *** needle kept fluttering. I took my car to Midas about 5/6 times this year alone (we're only in April), and they could not figure out what was wrong with it. Their only suggestion was for me to keep bringing it back. It seems like they kept finding "issues" but my car was never fixed and I kept paying for expensive repairs. I have kept all my receipts, and at this point, I am requesting to be compensated for everything - not just the spark plug. I finally took my car to the ****** dealership (I drive a ****** Rogue) where they told me one of my spark plugs was cracked and that this could happen when it's being tightened. I am livid because Midas is supposed to have certified mechanics and they kept having me bring in my car. The next thing they wanted to switch out was my gas bomb? The way they handled this situation is awful! Car repairs are so expensive and they took advantage because I kept bringing my car back to them. I have been taking my car to Midas for car repairs for a long time, but I will never use them again! I went to ***** this past weekend and showed him the ****** repair receipt along with the cracked spark plug. He stated he was going to give me a call within the hour and I never received a call. On Sundays, they are closed. I received no call on Monday either. This morning I called to speak with ***** and he stated he'd call me back. I have yet to get a callback but the whole lack of following up after I've spent so much money to still not have the issue fixed is baffling. I hope they never treat or take advantage of another single young woman like they did with me. They took me for a fool.

I took my car into MIDAS and had about $3000 worth of work done on it. This included a timing belt replacement. When they returned the car the check engine light was on (which it wasn't when I brought it in) and when I accelerated the car would shake. I took it back and they kept the car for about a month trying to figure out what they die to my car. They determined they had set the timing belt too high and another part needed to be replaced. They said they were incapable of replacing the part they had damaged with the misplacement of the timing belt and that I would have to take it to ****** Considering it was MIDAS who broke the part then was too I competent to fix the damage I demand they pay for the replacement.

Dates of transactions: 10/5/21-10/6/21-11/29/22 The amount of money paid for services: $334.98 What the business committed to provide me: Pressure test the cooling system for leaks and replace a missing hose that was causing radiator leaks. Drain the fluid from the rear of the engine that leaked into the driver's side of the vehicle. What the nature of the dispute is: On 2/19/2023, I have the same issue for the 4th time with the hose falling off and the radiator leaking all of the fluid out. Midas manager told me he would replace the hose again but I would have to pay for it. I have had to tow my vehicle each time to Midas and pay for this. I have had to pay an uber driver to take me to pick up my vehicle once it is repaired. Midas refused to provide towing of my vehicle to their repair station. They refused to provide an uber driver or pick me up when my vehicle is finished. The business manager *** told me they would replace the hose again however, I would have to pay for the repair and I would need to provide and pay for the towing to his shop and I would have to pay for my own uber to pick up my vehicle when it would be ready. The repair shop should have put a hose clamp on the hose to keep it from continuously falling off on the first repair.Repair order numbers: ******* x2 and *******

Went to midas in ********* ** (8/31/22)for an inspection, they said they would not pass me without my ball joint being replaced (though that is a lie because that has nothing to do with *** inspection) I told them my husband had the part at home I just needed an inspection they said they couldnt do that and forced me to get that done and an alignment (I DID NOTneed for the work that was done) so 599.34$ later Ive got my *** inspection. Last month (2/9/23) my car needed oil change I took my car to my local mechanic and they said I needed my ball joint replaced (they had told me months prior in July 2022) I said I had work done, being the ball joint. Took it to midas by my home (upstate) they checked and said midas in ********* NEVER replaced my ball joint. They charged me 232$ for part and labor they DID NOT DO! If they said my car was unsafe and couldnt pass inspection without replacing ball joint, they screwed me and also knowing I have 2 babies in the car with me. NOT OKAY!!! This place is unsafe AND disrespectful towards women. I knew what I was talking about and they spoke to me and treated me like I didnt. Talked down to me and like I was stupid. Treated another woman the same way while I was there. For HOURS and NOTHING was done on my car YET I was charged

Dates of transaction 11/22, 12/22, 1/23 I brought my car at the ************ location originally for brakes. After that... Alternator. Then, return for problems regarding Alternator to be fixed. Each time I paid more money. Now my car is so messed up... it will not move. I've tried calling.. No help... they lie and say the manager is not there. Meanwhile, I feel they've done this type of fraudulent activity before. I feel I have no other choice but to contact a local news channel to expose them if this doesn't work. I want my car corrected.

Hello I usually go to *** Boys to get my work done. This day I saw a oil change coupon online at Midas auto center in ******, **. Address ********************************************************. Service Manager *******************. So I bought my vehicle in to try Midas out. I left the store and went to a friends business in Corona not to far from the Midas store. About 5PM I left my friends work place and got on the freeway when I heard a low noise under the front of the car. I look in my rear view mirror and saw my bottom engine splash shield coming out of the rear of my car being torn to pieces by other cars. Tuesday morning my room mate text me that I had a oil leak spot from under my car. I look and found the oil drain plug was leaking. I called both the main Midas complaint department and the Midas store in ******, **. The store manager asked me to bring my car by that night. After inspection of the two problems he replaced the drain plug seal. But the manager explained he wouldn't replace the splash shield. The manager thought I hit some thing. I explained there was no damage to the under part of the car. Only some thing under the bumper that was there when I came in. Note; Midas took off the splash shield and didn't need to do the oil change. I feel the front of the splash shield wasn't installed correctly and on the freeway the wind caught the splash shield and ripped it off. After Midas replaced the drain plug seal and I arrived home the plug was still leaking. I went back and the manager replaced the oil drain plug and seal. I awoke and was leaving my house to go to work and look under my car and the oil drain plug was still leaking. I am going to call the manager this morning. Repair number #******* Date 01/14/2023 Time 12:24 pm Oil change and rotation of tires. Miles ***** Midas Auto Service &Tires ********************************************************.
