On July 22,2022 I took my ********************************** to Midas for a battery and to fix overheating. I financed $1,985.76 for them to fix everything that needed to be fixed on the car. Drove the car for a couple of weeks and it starts to overheat again. I was told it could be an air bubble and it would fix itself. It did not. I continually had to fill the car with antifreeze daily to be able to drive it. On October 26, 2022 I took the car back to Midas with the thought that something that was previously fixed needed to be redone but they informed me that it was an entirely different problem and they said I now have an oil leak which I did not have previously. I financed another $990.96. Not even a month, the car is overheating again and I'm back to putting antifreeze in the car every other day. On November 11, 2022 I took the car back to Midas surely thinking something needed to be redone this time but they said it was another problem. I was told that it would be less than $500 to fix it, but once they fixed it the total came to $1,055.10, which I financed, once again. Literally 3 days later, I drive the car and it not only overheats but now oil is spewing out of it. I take the car back to Midas and they seriously tell me it's another problem besides what they fixed. At that point I tell them to just give me my car because I was completely over it. I now put antifreeze AND oil in my car every single day to be able to drive it and I'm making weekly payments on a balance that totaled $4031.82 for a car that is in worse shape now than it was when I first took it in.

On September 3rd 2022, I took my car in for an oil change (invoice #*******). I spent a total of $178.59, which also included $55.96 for a lug nut and wheel stud, which was repaired correctly. I took it home, and later got back in it to leave. At that time the vehicle started smoking from the tailpipe upon starting, and when I attempted to drive it it was rumbling. I was curious, so I checked the oil and there was no oil in it. There was also no oil under the vehicle that had leaked out. It was completely empty. I couldn't get anyone from Midas on the phone that day, so I called the following Monday to let them know the issue. Before I could explain to the Midas employee what kind of car I have, the man said, "The Altima with no oil in it?" Before driving to Midas that Monday, I put 2 quarts of oil in it. Upon arriving at Midas an employee put more engine oil into my vehicle, and instead of saying they made a mistake he told me I had a bad engine. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car before I took it to them, but now Im forced to get an engine because they didn't refill the oil that they had drained from my vehicle. Since my visit on September 3rd, I have had to put, on average, 5 quarts of oil in my vehicle per week. I'm facing an excessive expense due to the mistake of this businesss employees. I would like Midas to pay for the replacement of my engine. I have only owned this vehicle since April of 2022, and there is no reason I should be having to replace the engine other than pure incompetence on the part of Midas and its employees.

I purchased my car in 2020. Before 2022, I had no issues with my vehicle whatsoever other than flat tires which I replaced on my own. I took my car to Midas in Arlington ** on ******** on November 4 for a standard oil change. A few days later my car began to shake vigorously while on the road. I took it back to Midas to explain what happened. They ran a diagnostic and explained I needed more service for my engine or my car would stop working. Reluctantly, I paid them for the service. A few days later, my battery stopped working. I called a second mechanic to look under the hood and he said it looks like things had been tampered with. I took it back to Midas to explain what I was told and they said they would keep the car for diagnostics. They told me I needed another battery and would go on to charge me close to $300. I explained to the manager that I only started experiencing issues after I took my car to Midas. He said it was not their fault and that my car needed the services. I support business and labor done in good faith, however, in this instance, I believe the issues were caused by the Midas team as an attempt to get more money for services. I am requesting a full refund.

    *******,

In response to this customer's complaint , the customer brought the car in on 11/3/22 for an oil change service. We completed the oil change with no problems and they picked up the car. More than two weeks later he called and said the car was running badly and the check engine light was on, so we advised him to bring it back to check out, which he did. On 11/22/22 we diagnosed the check engine light fault and found a misfire in cylinder #3. After checking coils, fuel injectors, spark plugs and other components we determined the #3 cylinder coil had failed and the  spark plugs were very old and fouled out. we advised the customer that he needed a coil and recommended new spark plugs as they were fouled and according to factory recommended service should have been replaced at ****** miles and the car had ****** miles at that time. The customer approved the work and we did the job. The car ran great when it left here and I read nothin in the complaint about the outcome of the repair.  Then a week later 11/29/22 the customer had a dead battery and brought it back for repair. We diagnosed the battery as bad and with customer approval replaced it. The customer was advised at every step and could have refused service at any time if he suspected foul play but waited until his car was in good running condition to complain and never reached out to us directly. We did nothing out of the ordinary standard service and feel like we are the victim of fraud in this action.

Thank you for your help in this matter,

The date of service was 12/19/22, invoice #*******. At: Midas auto ****************************** in ************ **. Street address is, *************************. I have a 2007 GMC Yukon a 6.2L. After looking over the truck they called back and had said that it would be around $800.00. We said ok. They called back not too long after and said that they dropped the timing positioning sensor into the crank case. We could either let it work itself out or pay $2013.29 to have it all cleaned out. Which obviously we had too. We had to pay for their mess up. You cant leave anything in the motor like that.

On 6-8-2022 I took my 2011 ****** Legacy to Midas Auto Service on *************************************************************************** to have my car repaired. There was a number of repairs done, most of which were done rather well it seemed. However one of those repairs was the Brake Calipers of which needed replacing in full. Upon completion of the repairs on my car one of their technicians came out, handed me the keys, and informed me that my break light was on and flashing and that it should go away within 30 minutes of driving the vehicle. Trusting the Midas to have repaired my vehicle in full, I drove my car away, noticing the aforementioned flashing break light and a slight rattle- though that I assumed was because my car was about 11 years old at this point. Now, a few months later, the light still hadn't gone off and over the course of the time a thudding had started any time I hit the breaks to slow / stop my car. Let it be know that I had not taken the car to another Auto service until this point, so Midas was the last to have worked on the car. Worried that it was perhaps an issue with the light itself which would prevent my car from telling me of another serious issue I pulled my car into a ******* ************ They looked at the car and found not only were the bolts missing that would secure the front driver side brake caliper, but they had also messed up the computer in the car that allowed it to sense anything wrong with the brakes. They had to put new bolts in the car and reset my cars break sensors back down to zero. I'm filing this complaint after having attempted to contact Midas so they could pay for that repair with no response back besides "We'll reach out in 72 hours." It has been a week. I would like them to reimburse me for the necessary repairs done to my car as if this had gone unfixed it could've cause a possibly fatal accident. I am quite frankly shocked that they even dismissed the break light in the first place and tried to tell me it would simply "go away."

Took my car in for service and to replace cv axels. Manager ***** told me they would test drive the vehicle and make sure everything was good to go before they installed the axles to make sure everything was OK and that it wasnt a different problem they proceeded to put the CV axels on do a transmission service and oil change. Well, all of their checking was done. They allowed my son to drive away with a broken rack and pinion which was not broken before I brought it in. I took my car there in good faith and based on you friends past experiences only to be treated horribly and when I talk to the manager about it, he laughed at me! I spent $775 only I now have to replace the rack and pinion which would be $2000 more. I advise the manager that I cannot move the car because the steering wasnt bad before I brought it in. He became very hostile and disrespectful. This is a highway robbery it is not ok to do this to customers!

I went to Midas on ************************************************************************************** on 11/11/2022 for an oil change around 510 pm right after I got out of work. I took a coupon which was for a continental oil change for a fee of $10.99. When I went to the front desk, the guy asked me what oil I wanted and I said synthetic . He then stated that the coupon was just for a regular oil change because I asked him too what continental meant. He said they had a special on the full synthetic which was I believe $49.99. I said ok that's fine. They went ahead completed the oil change while they are doing the oil change, this guy tells me that the car needs $2500 worth of work and that it is urgent that I do this. It had to do with the cv axle. I paid and left. A couple of days later, my oil light comes on while on my way to pick up my kids. I stopped and checked the oil and there was nothing. The car was leaking the oil. I called my husband immediately . I called Midas right after and told them right away that they did not put oil in the car or either forgot to. They managed to tell me that the car needed so much work but never said anything about a leak. The car did not have this problem before. I know a bit of mechanic so I know. Never did I have this issue. The guy asked that I take it and I told him I didn't want to because I didn't trust them. Within two days I spent close to $100 in oil because it kept spilling. The next day , I took it in to them thinking maybe they are going to fix it and maybe it's only the s**** or cap. No , the same front desk guy tells me it's coming from somewhere else. I obviously got upset and I told him, I knew they were going to tell me something else. They don't want to own up to it. The guy did not want to refund my money back. I want my car fixed. I know they did something to it. Obviously I am not the only one that complaints about this company. I want my refund and additional monies that I have spent on oil and mechanic work that I have to pay.

Took car which was diagnosed by auto zone to have a misfire from *********** recommended replacing all 6 spark plugs which I bought from them. Set up a date to take car to Midas in ***** **. This was on sept 2, 2022. They had my car for 6.5 hrs but when I picked it up they told me it still had the misfire and to bring it back which I did on Sept 7. At this time I asked if it would be best to take my vehicle elsewhere for repair which they declined. They were going to fix the #1 coil misfire and replace both front struts which I had requested them to do when I made the 1st appointment. They had my car all day and I called to ask if there was a problem and they told me my cv axle broke in 2 pieces and they would need to keep car until this part could be shipped from another Midas location They kept it on sept 8 and I called at 330p to ask if it were done. She said not yet. At 5pm they called to have me pay and pick it up..total cost approx $2300.00. They told me over phone struts were replaced and cv axle (free) but when I asked about the misfire they said its pretty good I replied thats not what I wanted to hear. When I paid and took car they told me engine light may go back on and if so just give them a call. I live less than a mile from their store. The next morning I had to take my dog to vet and my car wouldnt start so I called Midas and cuz I lived close they offered to come jump it. They did and he said nothing to me but I said you call this fixed and he went on his way. 20mins and engine light came & Midas told me swing by & well run another diagnostic test. I told her I would t be back .i went to autozone & again test was bad coil #1. I reached out to another mechanic and had to pay $150 for it to be towed there undriveable. My mechanic informed me coil#1 into cylinder #4 and that he would be replacing the 6 spark plugs cuz Midas did not even grease them. Im asking for full refund and tow reimbursement.

I have a 2017 ************ and I drove it to the nearest mechanic which was Midas. I wanted them to take a look at it because it was having issues with turning on staying on and jerking while driving. They said they know exactly what the problem is and supposedly replaced all these parts. The manager hisself told me that it was going to fixed in a few days after i dropped it off the first time. When I went back it was still doing the same thing as before. This is the only car we have and for the last 3 weeks the car was with them and it still does the same thing as before and they charged me $3500 for all the parts and labor. We are now without a car because it doesnt work correctly I feel they tried to get over on me because i am a female and want working on the car unless i was there
