On August 9th 2022 I saw an ad regarding an opportunity to be provided hot leads for Leadific, do demo calls with those leads, and then keep 100% of the money these leads pay if they sign up ($299, recurring every month). The ad mentioned the average starting close rate for these demo calls is 25%, and that up to 60 hot leads can be provided every week. The ad was vague, and the offer sounded too good to be true, so I was explicit with the salesman to make sure this was really included as I understood it.I told the salesman that I am NOT interested in building or managing any sales funnel, and am ONLY interested in doing these Leadific demo calls for the hot leads provided by them. He said that's ok, the hot leads are provided in all 3 packages, the only difference between the packages is regarding the sales funnel building, which he said is an optional part of the program. So on August 9th at 1:30 PM I signed up to pay $5000 ($1250 down, roughly $460 /month for 8 months).Within the first day I could tell that the salesman was not honest with me. The salesman committed that the program would provide me hot Leadific leads without setting up any sales funnel, but that is certainly not true. This program is explicitly to help you create sales funnels, which the salesman knew I did not want, but he wanted to close the sale.Within 24 hours I knew the product was intentionally misrepresented and I wanted a refund and cancelation. On August 10th at 5:30 PM I requested refund and cancelation via email. This email was ignored. August 11th at 4:15 PM I sent another email requesting refund and cancelation. I was told the best I can do is schedule a 15 minute call in two weeks (on Aug 29th). I asked if the call could be sooner, this was ignored. On August 16th at 2:30 PM (just now) I requested to have a call with someone else.Clearly this company lost sight of helping people and has moved on to intentionally misrepresenting itself in order to aggressively maximize sales.

    Hello *****,

It looks like we have been able to reach out to you much earlier than the 29th but we definitely had a misunderstanding of what the offer was. Leadific is a platform to organize leads and help marketing not something that just provides leads to you to sell to on its own. I have reviewed the sales call and you were very clear on what you were expecting and our sales agent did not correct you on what was actually being sold and in fact did say that Leadific provides you ***** leads per day. I have forwarded this call to our sales manager so this is addressed appropriately. One of our biggest pushes right now is ensuring all of sales agents are being full transparent with what we are selling. The last thing we want to do is sell on something we simply are not providing.

I can't apologize enough for the inconvenience *****, I have requested your loan be cancelled and a full refund to be provided back to you.

I got involved with this company for ******** ads and I found I couldnt afford all the things too succeed in this endeavor. I tried to cancel way back in February but they told me that I couldnt cancel and there is no refunds. They took over $1600 after me saying I want no longer involvement in this company. They have been taking $200 sometimes 3 times in 3-4 weeks for something I no longer want and asked to cancel. They have been taking from a card that was not issued for that specific payment neverming the fact I asked my bank to block them as a merchant and were still able to take. The fact im unable to cancel and they continue to charge me for something that I dont want is ridiculous. Ive lost so much money to them already and I just want my money back and for them to stop charging me unauthorized.

    Hello Andre,

Our student success manager ******** has reached out to you and sounds like he has worked things out for you. He said has cleared things up of what all you need to pay for and agreed to have weekly check-ins. You also have another call booked tomorrow (Monday). You have ****** telegram link for extra support for the live weekly calls in ********** call booking link as well. ******** said you wanted to get everything in writing with what he said he can do to provide support and that is what he aims to provide tomorrow.

I have looked into your billing as well and I do not see any multiple charges in a month so if you are able to send a screenshot of these charges to ************************************** then we can look into this for you.

We honestly want the best for you and are definitely willing to help you get things off the ground, ******** is great at what he does and knows what he is doing. I'm confident he can give you the support you need to land some clients and getting into the accountability system where you can get paired up with someone who is great with sales can be a big help as well as ******** mentioned you are much like myself and not a big fan of sales calls.

Hello, I'm here to seek help regarding an online program I signed up for as I feel this is a form of consumer abuse. The company is called Modern Millionaires (their former name was Modern Middlemen). The enrollment process was very rushed and despite my better judgement, I gave them my ssn and bank and credit card info. I didn't fully understand that I was signing a loan agreement; I was told it was a payment plan. I also did Not know a Hard Credit Check would be done & now I'm about 40+ points down on my credit score. I contacted the other entity that deals with financing, "*************************", and they stopped all payments as I sent them a ************** letter. However, the company "Modern Millionaires" is not replying to my emails and a coach from their program contacted me saying I am not allowed to quit. Their contract states I can terminate within 30 days. I signed up on Monday, June 20th and reached out to them on Wednesday, June 22nd stating that I need help in terminating. They got back to me on June 23rd saying that I cannot cancel. I reached out a couple times after that, reminding them that the contract states I can terminate in a ************** letter via email. I have not received any confirmation regarding this email and now I am very worried and stressed that they will try to send the loan to collections. I have not started their program, that they refer to as the "90 day bootcamp". I only saw less than half of their intro video and did not use their services (online materials). They are being dodgy and I feel that as a consumer I was not given enough information when enrolling as the process was rushed. A loan officer should have explained what I was getting into, but that was not the case. I was not allowed to contact the coach until July but that's when the program starts so I told them I want to terminate via email in June. At this point, I'm not sure what else I can do. They have my personal info. and won't delete my data. Please help.

    Hello Da Eun,

We tried to reach out to you but couldn't get a hold of you. Typically we do have a strict no cancellation/refund policy as we need to protect our IP. I can see you did want to cancel 2 days after starting like you said and I can see that you have barely touched the course content so I have reached out to Special Finance for them to cancel your loan.

I will review the calls and speak with our sales manager to bring up any issues with transparency. When you are signing up you should have been fully aware of what you were signing up for exactly and not feel rushed. I apologize for your experience, this is not at all what we intend for our students. We want our students to stick with us for the long haul and being at all deceptive or just not letting you know what you are getting into is not going to help that.

I truly wish you the best and you can rest assured that your loan is cancelled and I will ensure all of your concerns with your experience are dealt with appropriately.

    To Modern Millionaires:

Thank you for confirming that you will cancel the loan and terminate my contract. Could you also confirm that my sensitive information such as bank info, ssn, etc. and all my related date will be deleted? It does not sit well with me knowing that a company has all this information about me that I did not feel comfortable giving out. If you could send out an official email saying the payment loan and contract has been terminated, it will be greatly appreciated. If not possible, I will keep your BBB response as the confirmation. Thank you for your help.

On January 14, 2022, on a phone call, I agreed to sign a Retail Installment Contract for $293/month ($5,000 total).I filled out an application prior to this sales phone call, stating my total budget was $300/month.I signed the contract because I was convinced that I would be able to apply the program on my monthly budget of $300/month, and not have to spend any additional money to "start my agency".The salesperson pressured and rushed me through signing the contract, even after I asked to resume the phone call at a later time after I spoke with my husband. The salesperson knew that my budget was $300/month. They also knew that once I started the program, I would have to spend an additional $200 every month on "Leadific" to be able to apply all their teachings and run my agency. So, they directly deceived me into signing a contract when they knew I couldn't afford the additional fees that I wouldn't find out about until after I was pressured to sign the contract. I have requested that the Modern Millionaires cancel the contract I signed with ************************* and remove me from their program that I cannot afford on top of the contract payment I signed. I have offered they keep the $880 I have already paid on the contract - a generous offer to allow me to peacefully part ways from their program. But they insist that they have been "honest" with me and that they will not cancel the contract. I have spoken with multiple other new members of the program, and they were all blindsided by the additional $200/monthly fee. So, the Modern Millionaires are not as transparent as they claim to be with their offer. There is no way I would sign a contract for $300 while also agreeing to pay $200/month on a separate fee. My budget was clearly stated $300/month. It should be a responsibility of the salesman to ensure that I will not go over my budget before signing to prevent this from happening. They just wanted to lock me into a contract, very dishonestly.

    Hello,

During sign up we show a webinar that explains any overheads costs involved with the program so we were not be deceptive. ******** was trying to get on a call with you so he could help get you on track and show you free ways of doing things so you did not need to pay the extra expense for Leadific. We do have Leadific in our training because it is an extremely useful tool, but we do have DIY options for students that don't have the budget for the extra expense yet.

Since you have had access to the full program since January 21st. 2022 we are unable to cancel your contract. We first heard from you about concerns after over 3 months of access, at that time ******** sent a link to book a call to go over any concerns and how we can help you but after many attempts to request a call was turned down. We also offered to get you 3 free months of Leadific so you had time to land a client before needing to pay anything additional as well.

Our goal is to genuinely help people, we wouldn't have been around for this long or have the community we do if out main focus is to just lock people into contracts. We have more flexibility on deals that are made internally but to fit your budget we had to work with a finance company. We have delivered access to our program, offered to provide additional support as well as free access to Leadific which is the main source of complaint here. If you work with us we can help you land a client before the trial is over with Leadific so you have your expenses covered. We are trying to help.

Modern Millionaires claimed they would help me with their business course, which sounded very much like a SCAM. I was told with their "Done With Program" at $5000, I would receive assistance with setting up my website, tracking sites, ads, lead generation, etc. I was also told I would have a coach, and I could sign up for Accountability Partner (which I did). None of this has been resolved. I've had no contact with anyone, and since I've been with this SCAM, no one has answered my texts. The man I spoke with over the phone had not responded to me. This is all just this week. I have been lied to and misled. And for that reason specifically, I am claiming this business is not as truthful as they claim to be. I WANT MY REFUND of my initial payment. And for all other payments that *** be processing canceled immediately. It is unfair that a business gets to trick people just trying to scrape by and make better of themselves. Do not go with this business if you're searching for betterment. They lie to you. My main PAIN POINT is that contact is nonexistent. I've been with them for a week. A Week! So I know I can get a refund, but again, no one is answering the phone or responding to emails or texts. Please assist me at BBB. org to get this resolved. And to MM, how dare you take advantage of so many people. I do not understand how ***** and Chance can feel good about themselves knowing their customers and clientele are being lied to and treated poorly. Give me a refund. And cancel everything else including all other possible charges you guys could imagine. And when I tried to find the documents between me and ******* (the man who called me multiple times before everything was finalized) they were gone. I can't even find them in my email. It says there was an error. 404. Such a poorly run business. If you can even call it that.

    Hello ******,

It looks like ******** reached out to you and this has been resolved. He was saying that your girlfriend may have jumped the gun a bit with sending in the BBB complaint. You have now been set up with an accountability partner so that is great but you do still have some concerns with how you had issues getting a hold of someone for help. This is also a concern of mine and I will talk to our sales manager to ensure that *************** are addressed immediately. The sales team are not equipped to help you with your issues but they should be getting back to you and putting you in contact with someone that can help. Now that you have ********** contact he's an amazing customer success manager and will genuinely do everything in his power to help you be successful.

If you have any further concerns or issues please either reach out to ******** or email us at ************************************* and we should get back to you within 24-48hrs.

I want to file a complaint against the company Modern Millionaire. Ive paid them 6k on a loan set up by them for a program that basically Im unable to start much less complete since the loan debt incurred has me now working 2 Jobs just to pay it off. Been trying to get thru to them for a resolution to this issue without response. I feel theyre ignoring me and hoping this somehow will go away. Im still paying back the loan without default and hve not taking any of their online classes. They run you down and rush you into the program but are not transparent or forthcoming with all the details and added cost that you need to know to get started. After you sign they just lump you in with a group of other students and forget about you. No one on one training as promised. Their sales team changes their number and are not to be heard from again I now want a full refund of the loan amount paid to them to clear my debts

    Business response

    04/24/2022

    Hello *****,

I apologize for the lack of response. I can see that you reached out 3 months ago and have not received a response. I will talk with our sales manager to look into that to see why you did not get a response and deal with that accordingly. This is definitely not how we typically operate and I cannot apologize enough for that. Our student success coach ******** tried to give you a call on Friday but didn't get through, he left a voicemail and text to see if you would like to get back in touch with him to see what we can do to help. At this time we are unable to provide a full refund because of the length of time you have been in the training and that you have gone through the bootcamp material 100%. Your original request was to be removed from the program or be given the opportunity to attend the bootcamp at another date, this we can absolutely do for you. Whenever you are ready and have the time we can put you in the next bootcamp that starts, one starts every month.

We are also working with our sales team to be much more transparent with our offers, nothing was ever intentionally held back but there has been quite a bit of changes in our course material and some of our sales people may just not have been up to speed as they should have been. This has since been resolved with proper training to ensure everyone that signs up knows exactly what to expect. If this was sold to you as 1 on 1 training this should not have been and this is another thing I will bring up to our sales manager as it is a class program not 1 on 1. We do however offer 1 on 1 support when needed to get you back on track or get that fire back under you when you need some motivation. This is actually ********** role, he was the one that was reaching out to you Friday. If you would like you can answer ******** back to hop on a call or I could have him reach out again next week at whatever time is best for you, would that work for you?

I purchased this program with the understanding that I would be learning how to put ads on ****** to attract customers to sell the merchandise. I did not know that I would be speaking to and trying to convince business owners to actually purchase the ads to attract customers for them. This info was not told to me when I purchased the program. I also was not told that I would have to purchase other programs like Leadific, at a monthly cost, to make this program work and other services that I am also paying for related to this business. There are so many moving parts with this program and so many extra costs that are not mentioned at the original purchase time. I also bought the program which costed 15k because I wanted and needed more 1:1 coaching. This level was suppose to be a "done for you" program with explanations of what and how the business was being established and how I would be able to operate it. I have spoken to several different people who have done nothing but tell me what to do and then call back a couple of weeks later to see if I followed thru. They actually offered a program with that level of assistance that cost 5K and I wanted more assistance, so I did not chose that one. I believe that if they were forthcoming with the complete program and all the expenses associated with the program, then I of course would not have purchased this. I think they purposely do not tell you all the information and word their selling pitch in a way that makes you believe that this is a great opportunity to have an online business. I would certainly like my money back and to stop the bleeding with all the other companies I signed up with that Modern Millionaire sent my way to make their program work.

    Hello ******,

I spoke with ******** who just got of the phone with you and it sounds like there may have been some confusion with what our program offers as well as the level of program you were in when it comes to what we are building for you. In either offer though once your agency is built you would still have to take it over and sell to clients and it sounds like this is not something you are at all interested in.

Because you have been with us since January and our fulfillment team has completed their end, I am unable to provide a full refund but I can request that your financing be cancelled so no further payments are made.

A few days prior to writing this I had my initial call with ****** I found out that I want to cancel but he was not transparent with their cancellation or billing policies. They have given me a hard time but I just want to cancel any further charges to my card. I paid $1000 upfront and the next day they sent me the document to sign for recurring charges and I have not signed it. ***** was never transparent about any terms and conditions and I did not have a chance to fully review the document for the *** program. I am not looking for any refunds just removal from the program and no further charges.

I sincerely apologize for the lack of transparency. I have brought this up to our sales manager and he will talk with the enrollment specialist that ****** you on board to help prevent that in the future. They should have gone over the contract with you before any payment was made so I can't apologize enough for that. I just talked to ********, the person you spoke with today about how we can make things right for you and he said you have come to agreement to downgrade to the *** program and just call it even with the $1000 you already paid. We are definitely happy that we could work something out with you and look forward to seeing you in the program!

I tried to make contact to get a refund for my purchase. However getting a hold of this company is almost impossible. I am a 71 year old on Social security and they have taken over $2000 from me with absolutely nothing to show. I have been trying to contact through messages they sent with no avail. If I had not contacted my bank they would have stole another thousand dollars from me. I feel ripped off and scammed.

    Hello *******,

I can't apologize enough for the experience you have had. This is not how we typically operate. I've looked at your communication and if your enrollment specialist was busy he should have directed you to our support channels but instead did not answer. I have spoken with our sales manager to ensure this is dealt with appropriately.

We also should have fully transparent on our offer and I'm not sure that was the case for you when brining you on board and for that I again sincerely apologize. I have issued you a refund for the full amount paid, please allow **** days for the refund to show up on your bank statement.

Thank you so much for your patience ******* and I truly wish you the best.
