My husband and I were working with a mortgage lender who performed hard credit checks on Thursday, June 29th. Apparently, this releases an alert to other mortgage lenders which results in a slew of phone calls for many days to come. Every weekday since then we've gotten calls multiple times from MortgagePros. The first few calls we've ignored answering, but the calling persisted so we started answering the calls and attempting to get taken off the call list. Every person we have talked to has been so rude to us. They would either hang up right away after telling them you are not interested and to be taken off the call list or they will be extremely pushy to continue prying for information and get aggressive on their questioning and then hang up if you become rude back. In either case you aren't taken off the list and the calling continues. Seeing other reviews, it seems this is a common theme and there doesn't seem to be any commitment to improve their tactics. I will never refer anyone to use MortgagePros. If they are this rude before having you lock into a contract I can't imagine how rude they are once they have you locked in.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
Although, they allegedly put me on the *** list, which is good if they have done so, there is no indication that their calling practices will be changed. I have asked their representatives multiple times to be added to the *** list with each of them being rude and ultimately not adding me to the list. I shouldn't have to go through the BBB to be listened to and for results to happen. Until they change their procedures, I will not accept their resolution.

After a Bank pulled my credit score, MortgagePros has called me (unsolicited) several times a day for about a week now. Anytime I say "I am not interested" or ask the company to stop calling me, the caller immediately hangs up and and someone else calls a few minutes or hours later to try again.Business response

Greetings. On Tuesday, 6/27/2023, around 8:15 AM, I started receiving telephone calls from MortgagePros every few seconds until around 6 PM that evening. After ignoring the telephone calls for a while, I answered one of the calls and asked the caller to stop calling my telephone number. The telephone calls continued to come in and, again, after ignoring the calls for a while, I answered and told the caller to stop calling my telephone number. The telephone calls continued to come in throughout the day despite my admonitions.Wednesday, 6/28/2023, started at 8:15 AM with another telephone call from MortgagePros. I answered and this time had a lengthy conversation with the man at the other end of the telephone call. I told him I was not interested in anything they were offering and for the company to stop harassing me with unwanted telephone calls. He told me they were trying to help me pay off my credit card debts. I told him my debts were none of his business and I did not need his help in managing my debts. His response was that my debts were his business and so the telephone calls were not going to stop. The telephone calls continued to come in all day on 6/28/2023, and they have continued to come in today, Thursday, 6/29/2023. As I am typing this message, three telephone calls from MortgagePros have come in. MortgagePros has been contacting me via text messaging as well. I texted back and ask for the text messages to stop but they have not. Their last text message to me was "Good morning Ngomom - it's *********************** again over at MortgagePros. I didn't hear from you the other day. Are you still interested in seeing some options?".All I am asking is for MortgagePros to stop harassing me with unwanted telephone calls. Thank you for your time. Hopefully, you will be able to help me with this unprecedented matter.Business response

I have since called the business myself twice to tell them that the telephone calls are still continuing to come in but nothing has change. On 6/29/2023 so far, I have received 48 calls from Mortgage Pros. The very first call I told ****** that I was working with someone else and that I wasn't interested. He kept talking and going on and on. I repeatedly told him that I wasn't interested. I told him to stop calling me. The calls continue to come in. I would never do business with a company like this.Business response

I recently filed a complaint about this business for ongoing, unwanted calls. Since saying I would be put on the do not call list, I have now received 22 unwanted calls yesterday and have already received two calls this morning. On 6/16/2023 from 8am until 11:30am, I received 31 calls from this business, who was attempting to speak with "********". The number I was contacted on is a work phone line and it was making it difficult to preform my job due to the spamming calls. I have never made a purchase or contacted this business. When I could answer the phone, I was either hung up on or told I was reached in error, but no steps were made to resolve the situation.Business response

This company continues to spam my phone with phone calls, voicemails, and text messages after repeatedly requesting that I be removed from their calling list. *********************** called me out of the blue asking if I was refinancing my mortgage. Im purchasing a house but its with another company. He was asking me very invasive questions and when I realized it was a spam call I let him know I was not interested. He was incredibly rude and condescending. Him and his company have called repeatedly since then over the past 2 days. He left 2 voicemails and sent 2 texts all after I let him know I was not interested. Applied for a VA home loan. We were asked to pay for an inspection. We paid $600 for an inspection and inspector has not been paid. They are ignoring my calls and emails. Pretty much blocked me. I left them a message on mail phone number. to pay inspection or to refund funds. No answer. I will be notifying my bank as well. This payment was exclusively for an inspection as stated by ********************* and ***************************. Unethical company and practices.Business response
