Purchased a speed 425. Have shot maybe 10/15 times and my limbs have broken. Registered the product when I first purchased it which had to register multiple times as it keeps showing not registered. Have been stuck on waiting for next customer service rep for hours and hours with nobody ever answering. Clearly a known issue that nobody seems to care if a consumer gets hurt. Went with this brand because of the fake reviews at the time and the alleged amazing customer support only to be left high and dry and feel swindled. I didnt purchase a crossbow to have to replace it every year or two.Initial Complaint

On Oct.25/2021 i purchase a Killer instinct bow off amazon..They bow had a lifetime warranty not long after receiving the bow the pistol grip came off bow cracked down the stud that held it on..I thought things happen and fixed it..Bow was barely fire at all when i decide to try bow hunting this year i was out there sighting the bow when the harm broke while cocked ..This was lucky i wasn't hurt by fiberglass splinters to my face..This happened on 9/29/23 and i called the seller who told me that it was on Killer instinct to make it good. So i emailed the company with all info and pictures of the bows damage ..The company has not even made a effed to contact me back on this matter..I made a internet search and found this was not a isolated indecent and this company has willing been selling these defective items for quite awhile with no remorse to human safety..Theirs a Facebook group started just for the pure quality and danger of this companies bows..All reviews show this company is well aware of this and chooses to ignore the fact and continue to place it's consumers at risk to make a dollar..Business response

Our apologies for such a slow response. Unfortunately, your previous email was not resolved in a timely matter from us. I had an opportunity to review the images you sent. With any crossbow, there could be a number of things that could lead limb problems including impacts, misfires, broken crossbow arrows, accidents, etc. Without having your crossbow at a service center or sent to our facility for review, it's difficult to determine the cause. Because of the time missed waiting on a response from our company, I would like to replace the entire crossbow verses repairing the portions covered under warranty.
Please let us know if this helps resolve the matter.

Bought a fatal x may 2023. I have maybe shot it 25 times, string broke, took in to dealer they stated it is not worth fixing, stress fractures on limbs and other damaged parts. The arrow was not even penetrating the target fully at 30 yards. I know this is not good as I have a different killer instinct bow that goes through every target. The arrow wasn't even laying flat on the rail. I have been unable to contact on the phone. I have called 5 times at least been on hold for over 60 mins each time. No call back option. Then NO response to my emails. I would like a refund!!!!!Initial Complaint

I have issue with the cross bow limbs keep breaking . They will get someone hurt badly. They replace one set and 17 days later the new ones break .Business response

Registered product but company claims I didn't so.... Shoot 10 arrows, some that came with bow and others I purchased they ALL hit in different spots several FEET APART!. Can ONLY sight in crossbow using one arrow. After shooting deer and losing arrow have to sight in AGAIN using another arrow. Once that arrow is gone have to sight in AGAIN using another arrow. Used field tips to sight in. Had multiple people inspect, shoot and try to come up with an idea as to why this happens but no luck. Now arrow holder has broken which is SUPPOSED to be a covered warranty part and company will not answer emails about either problem. Bought from Northwoods Outdoor in ********** but receipt states no refunds after purchase. So buyer beware you've been warned.Initial Complaint

Purchased crossbow from Dunhams, ******* ** on 9/21/23. Bow was defective. Registered bow and tried calling company, on hold 1.5 hours with no answer. Emailed and received response on Sunday 9/24/23 requesting I register bow. I responded I had registered bow. Tried returning bow to *******, ***************** on 9/24/23 and was told they won't take back and have to call Killer Instinct. Called Killer Instinct Monday, 9/25/23, on hold for 30 minutes then disconnected. Called again and tried every possible way to reach someone and no luck. Eventually left a message requesting a call back. Never got a call back. I would like the business to replace this item with one that is not defective or issue a refund by 10/1/2023. The issue is the s**** hole that hold the two main parts together have burred holes and one s**** will not go in. This will potentially result in catastrophic failure and injury to consumer if I try to use with only one s**** in place. I would like an explanation as to why when I call, I cannot speak with someone to simply resolve by phone. I have also called ******** Corporate Offices to address the issue on their end.Business response

Several emails have exchanged with the customer from Thursday of last week. Because we do not have business hours on weekends, it does take a few extra days to respond. We will be sending out a completely new assembly as noted as the possible solution to the email sent on 9/27.Customer response

I have received only 2 emails. Still no phone call. Still nobody answering phones. We will see if parts arrive, but obviously poor communication on part of company or I wouldnt have filed here. At this point its obvious this wont be handled in time for the season and I will be out gas money and hours trying to reach customer service which seems to be unmanned as I have yet to get a call.Initial Complaint

Purchased a Killer instinct 425 crossbow apprx $450 After shooting about ***** arrows in 2 years Then the limb snapped & shredded. This could 've caused eye damage /facial scars Tried calling the company 30 min on hold Finally after several calls the only compensation was a new limb That is a minor amount of what I have to pay someone to repair the entire bow This is a bad defect & no responsibility by the company. In late 2022 I had a limb break on my killer instinct 405 crossbow. I contacted killer instinct and didnt get a response for over 10 days and got tired of waiting so I took the bow back to where I bought it which was green acres in ************ **. The unformed me that they would contact killer instinct and get the parts warrantied but I needed to pay the labor. So I did and ever since *** had the limbs replaced the bow does not shoot right and it cant be sighted in. This product has a life time warranty I need help pleaseInitial Complaint

I purchased this bow in the spring of 2022, took it out for the first time on opening day of bow season, October 1, 2022 went to shoot at a deer and the strings snapped. After calling around I found a store 45 minutes away that is a killer instinct dealer had to pay $80 for new strings. I took it out the next day October 2nd went to shoot again and the new strings snapped. I contacted customer service they sent new strings again and a new trigger assembly, I had to take it and pay to get the new equipment installed for $50. I just got it back from repairs on 10/10/22 and shot it to see if it will work this time. Even with the new parts the string is already starting to rip. Its been 10 days and I have not been able to use my crossbow without it breaking. At this point hunting season will be done and I will have taken this in for many repairs spending more than what the bow cost in the first place. So far I have been lucky the snapped line hasnt caused me any physical harm. I am tired of getting the run around, I just want a refund at this point.
