I applied for a debt consolidation loan on 5/14/22 and someone from the local branch @ 1804 Wirt Road Houston, TX 77055 reached out to me on 5/16/22 asking for me to submit my documents which I did that same day and I received an email response on 5/18/22 from the Assistant Manager saying "Attached is an offer being made by our underwriters. Give me a call once you have received and reviewed so we can discuss and have this finalized TODAY!!!! Look forward to hearing from you!" I gave him a call that same day but he was out to lunch so I emailed him and requested a callback but never heard back. I called the office on 5/21/22 and was told that I then needed to submit more documents (picture of my car mileage and my car insurance) which I did as well but I didn't hear back again. After that, it was just a back and forth thing with me not receiving any updates after emailing multiple times. Then, someone else from the branch reached out to me saying the person I was dealing with was no longer working there but she promised me that she was going to take care of finalizing my loan. She replied via email on 6/9/22 saying "almost done with your loan will call you when to come in today" but then I never heard back for a whole month. I reached out again a few days ago which is the end of July, and the person tells me that they were just about to call me which it's like if you forgot just say that but don't continue to lie to me. Then, the person tells me that I needed to resubmit documents, which made me even more upset because this has been dragging for 2 months now. The person gets back to me a week later saying that I'm approved for way less than what was quoted 2 months ago so now I'm really upset. I then asked to speak with a manager and couldn't get what I asked for. This company has caused me such distressnot to mention that they changed my lienholder without me even knowing and saying that I'm not even getting what I was told that I was getting after all of this.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
The timeline does not add up at all. I submitted call log reports and email screenshots of everything. This company is disgusting and should not even be in business. Not getting approved for one amount is fine but being lied to stating that the underwriters approved $14k then two months later someone else saying only $9k that's a big deal. I was told multiple times that I needed to just come in to finalize everything on the $14k approval but they never gave me an appt. Time. No one ever informed me about anything on 5/28/22, let alone about any vehicle damage. Someone rear ended my vehicle last year in August of 2021 but my rear bumper was replaced months ago with a brand new one if that's what they are referring to but again I have no idea because they have no proof of what they are referring to anyways. This company needs to be liable for their actions especially when you're dealing with peoples sensitive information and talking about their debt.

Re: Better Business Bureau Complaint ID ********
Dear Ms. ********:
I am writing in response to the complaint you submitted with the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”)
dated July 29, 2022. Regional Finance Corporation of Texas, LLC (“Regional”) appreciates the
opportunity to address your concerns. At Regional, we truly value our customers’ satisfaction, and will
work toward the resolution of any issues.
In your complaint, you state you applied for a loan with Regional on May 14, 2022, immediately
contacted the local office to finalize the loan after receiving notification of approval on May 16, 2022,
and were advised by branch personnel that the employee processing your application would respond to
you. You further state that you never received the employee’s response and were advised by branch
personnel to provide additional documentation when you contacted the branch on May 21, 2022 to
follow up on the status of your application. Additionally, you state that another employee from the
branch later contacted you regarding your application and advised that she would call you to schedule
closing on a loan for June 9, 2022. Finally, you state that you did not hear from the employee for a
month , contacted the branch once again to follow up and received approval for a loan in an amount
significantly lower than the amount previously quoted by branch personnel. As a result, you feel the
application process has been stressful and request that Regional remove the credit inquiry that appears
on your consumer report if your application cannot be approved for a larger loan amount.
Regional’s records indicate that you submitted your first application for a loan on May 14, 2022 and
you agreed to proceed with the process on May 16, 2022. Regional received documentation provided
by you in order to finalize the application on May 23, 2022 and it was determined that you could not be
approved for the type of loan you in which you had originally applied because the vehicle to be secured
as collateral was damaged and decreased in value. As such, you were offered a loan in a smaller amount
and your application was cancelled after you expressed to the Branch Manager that you were no longer
interested in obtaining credit on May 28, 2022. On July 27, 2022, an additional application process was
initiated to obtain a loan for debt consolidation and you stated you planned to use the aforementioned
vehicle to secure the loan. On July 28, 2022, you spoke with the Branch Manager, stated that you did
not want to pay in full your other creditors as well as your automobile loan with ****** *******, LLC
and subsequently cancelled your application. For the reasons explained above, Regional does not
believe that removing the credit inquiries is the appropriate course of action at this time. Please be
advised that you applied for the loans, authorized the credit inquiries and Regional is contractually
obligated to provide accurate data to the credit bureaus according to the provisions of the Fair Credit
Reporting Act.
We appreciate your business and would like to thank you for choosing Regional for your financial needs.

Regional Financial contacted a law office about a debt that shared a similar first name to mine. This was after contacting random family members of mine to get in contact with them about a supposed debt I owed from a check they mailed to an address they can't disclose to me, which I paid because they said I would have to file a police report against someone to get out from this debt. I made the first payment on the debt because they said they would ruin my credit report otherwise. The next day, Regional Finance (Caesar) got in contact with a law firm and gave them my personal contact details, including my phone number. That law firm got in contact with me to let me know that Regional Finance violated the law in contacting them and sharing my "PII" with them. Which in contacting Regional Finance, I haven't been able to receive any satisfactory explanation other than this will be a company wide training or resolution to this incident. The lawyer is wanting me to issue a demand letter. I'm frustrated, scared and confused and feel slighted and like my information is just free to give away by people who aren't even sure I owe them money.Customer response

Dear Mr. *****:
I am writing in response to the complaint that you filed with the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) dated July 5, 2022.
Regional Finance Corporation of Georgia, LLC (“Regional”) appreciates the opportunity to address your concerns.
At Regional, we truly value our customers’ satisfaction and will work toward the resolution of any issues.
In your complaint, you state you Regional contacted a law firm regarding a debt from a borrower that shared a name
similar to your own. You further state Regional contacted members of your family regarding a loan in which you had
been submitting payments and was originated in your name by way of a convenience check. Additionally, you state
you were forced to submit a payment to avoid negative reporting to the credit bureaus. Finally, you expressed your
frustration because Regional provided your personal information to third parties to collect on an account which you
did not authorize and refuses to provide you with resolution to this issue. As a result, you are requesting that Regional
update the tradeline associated with the account in question and/or provide you with monetary compensation.
After a review of the account in question, the loan ending in **** was originated in your name on April 22, 2022, by
way of convenience check in the amount of $1,534.78. Regional’s records indicate that the branch located in Duluth,
GA received a phone call on July 1, 2022, from a 3rd party stating that she represented an unidentified law firm and
was also the aunt of ********* *****. During this conversation, an individual, identifying himself as ********* *****
also spoke with branch personnel and provided the name and phone number on file in Regional’s servicing system for
account security purposes. Your claim that Regional disclosed account/personal information to an un-authorized third
party could not be validated and neither a correction to your credit report nor monetary compensation is believed to
be the appropriate course of action at this time. If you believe that the account in question is the result of fraud, please
complete the enclosed Forged Endorsement Victim’s Complaint and Affidavit of Check Fraud by Payee, and return it
to the address below along with a legible photocopy of your driver’s license and police report so that Regional can
