Since I am an independent contractor I'm neither an employee and they are neither an employer. This has to do with business though. I'm an independent contractor working solely through gig works as of right now to make ends meet. I was doing ******* deliveries for the spark driving platform. My account has been deactivated on three different occasions on false allegations. The first time it was deactivated for 7 weeks during Thanksgiving break. They somehow made it to where I'm logged out of my account and I have no way to log back in. The second time was for my car insurance being invalid whenever it was up to date and paid. One of their employees did **** my car insurance as invalid and I have proof in a conversation I recorded. Then the third Time, somehow, now One of my customers reported me for invading their privacy and when I asked for proof they gave none. There has to be some common ground. Something's going on. I need help with this. May you please help me and God help us all.Business response

I need to get paid for my shift on 1/16/25 with Shiftsmart. My ticket number is *******. I went to the site that I was told to report to, but when I was trying to check in with the code the app was saying I wasn't at the right location. I tried contacting Shiftsmart, but I got no response and it has been a week nobody has reached out to me. I had to take a drive and waste my own gas just to go to my shift. This is very unprofessional of Shift smart I need to get paid for this ASAP.Business response

On 01/16/2025 I worked my first shift at a circle k store located at *********** and ************ in *****************. When I arrived the app continuously gave me an error message stating that I was to far away from the location, I could not clock in. The manager of the location submitted an email to shiftsmart and I worked the shift from 3-7 in the evening. Long story short the issue has not been resolved and I have emailed the CEO as well as shiftsmart. I have also submitted tickets through the app and have not been paid or had my app updated showing I showed up and worked.Business response

I have not received compensation for two Circle K shifts I showed up on time to, and was turned away due to technical issues with the ShiftSmart apps backup virtual checkin.The store managers at the locations I was turned away from had no checkin codes to provide for me; nor a direct email address to contact ShiftSmart team.The ShiftSmart help center & virtual chat option were unreliable, continually marking my cases as solved without confirmation of *************** reliability scores and on time scores have been negatively affected, making it difficult to find work in my area.I have attached screenshots of unresolved cases with ShiftSmart team responses.Hopefully BBB & ShiftSmart will resolve my case requests #******* , #*******.Business response

I had a shift at a circlek in the villages I tried numerous of time to clock in it wouldnt t let me clock in the manager emailed them the still rejected my payment I opened the app Closed it refreshed and nothing happen I want my moneyBusiness response

Today January 15th 2025 I booked a shift through. ShiftSmart app for shift at ******** located at ************************************** for 12pm to 4pm . Upon arriving I realized I was at ********************************************* . I quickly realized what I had done and rerouted myself to the correct location causing me to be more than 15 mins late . Once at the correct location I explain to the manager what happened and was told this has happened before with another ShiftSmart person and was understanding. I clocked in at 12:33pm and worked until 4:37pm . I was able to clock in and out using the codes provided . After 9 pm I get a notification stating that shift was canceled !!! I used the messaging service in the app to see what was going on . I was informed no payment would be issued due to me being more than 15 mins late when I was able to clock in and out !! If the shift was going to be canceled it should have been canceled before I arrived to the correct address not hours after I completed the shift . I deserve to be paid for work !!!!Business response

On 01/04/2025, I was scheduled to work at circle K store #*******. Address ****************************************. The manager stated that she has not been receiving clock in and clock out codes. I clocked in manually by opening a ticket. I worked my full 4 hour shift from 7am to 11am. When I attempted to clock out by opening a ticket, the shiftsmart app was not allowing the option and not showing the store I was currently at. I opened a ticket asking for help clocking out. Hours later, I noticed my payment was rejected. I opened another ticket, and sent photo evidence in a follow up email showing I was at the store. **************** has never responded or acknowledged my ticket. I would like to be paid for the hours I worked.Business response

Shift smart didn't pay me for a shift I worked on 25 November. The manager was late coming in. She took care of other duties before giving me a check in code for the app. I worked the entire shift. The manager emailed shiftsmart to ensure I would be paid. I have made multiple attempts to share my concerns thru support. I have never received any correspondence on multiple support tickets! And then on dec 30 the very same thing happened. So shift smart owes me for 2 4 hour shifts at $13 per hour . I am really rethinking the shiftsmart experience. On 01/06/2024 I was scheduled at circle k store ******* for a 7am to 11am merchandiser shift, I arrived at 6:40 and was able to get the check in code from the manager at 6:51 AM successfully checking in, I did some cleaning duties and stocked shelves as the store had an inspection that morning at 9 AM. After disposing of expired goods and taking out the trash near the fuel pumps, I got the check out code from the cashier on duty as prompted by the manager after I asked the manager for the code, I successfully checked out at 10:53 AM. Some hours later I see my shift was no longer pending approval and instant pay was available, but my balance continues to show as $0. I chatted with support but they told me multiple times that they cant find a shift for 01/06/2024, my shift was never canceled, so I submitted a ticket, however response times are delayed. I am owed $58.18 for my 4 hours of work.Business response
