Continued phone and email harassment when I have asked for no further contact. Most recent; phone call yesterday from **** ******* and and an email today. How many times does it take for y'all to stop contacting me?

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we have removed Mr. ********* information from our system. We also added him to the exclusion list for both email and direct mail marketing. If he has any questions, he can contact me directly at (713) 375-4302 so that I may further assist!

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  However, it should not take contacting the BBB to get removed from contact from this business, after several verbal and written requests that we summarily ignored.

I unfortunately hired O'Connor & Associates to represent me on my property tax protest. My property is classified as a 50%/50% ownership property with two separate account numbers by the **** **** ****** ********* ******** ******** My daughter owns the other half of this property. My account has an Over 65 exemption and her account does not. We are ****** separately on all property tax matters. On July 13, 2022, O'Connor & Associates sent me Invoice ********** for $304.88. This amount represents the 50% contingency fee for 100% of the property tax savings. They chose to completely IGNORE the Over 65 exemption of my 50% ownership and the 25% contingency fee. Upon re-calculation of their numbers, I found that the correct total amount that I owe them was $203.65. I sent them a check for $203.65 by CERTIFIED mail with a letter detailing how I calculated this amount. They certainly cashed the check without any problem, but continue to **** me for what they think I ***** owe them, $101.25. I have contacted them numerous times by email, since they NEVER return phone calls. At one point when I was able to speak with someone when I called, the "representative" confirmed that I owned 50% of the property and became very confused. Then she suddenly could no longer help me. She claimed that she would have someone call me back, a scripted response that O'Connor always uses with NO intention of following through. With every email to them, I have detailed my calculations and how they are incorrect in continuing to b*** me for an amount I do not owe. I have no other recourse than to file this complaint. At my attorney's advice, I **** also file a complaint with the ****** ** *** ******** ******* *** *** **** I have also filed a "Revocation of Appointment of Agent for Property Tax Matters" with *****. I want O'Connor & Associates to close this account as PAID IN FULL and stop harassing me. This is harassment of a senior citizen.

This message is in response to the complaint filed by ******* **** regarding the calculation of the invoices for the 2022 protest for the property located at *** ******** **** ** **** **** ******* We filed a protest on both accounts ******* and ******* based on the full value before the taxable amount based on the ownership percentage. We were successful in reducing the value for account ******* and the county honors the lowest protested reduced value for both properties since it's split ownership. We have adjusted both invoices to match the correct taxable amount for each account and taken into consideration the over 65 exemption. Please see the attached invoices with the correct calculations. I have also submitted to have the remaining balance of $25.55 waived due to the inconvenience. If you have any further questions you may contact me directly at 713-375-4302 so that I may further assist.

I signed up with O'Connor in April 2022 Acct ********* and never received any notice of a hearing. I noticed today HCAD.org that it no longer states I had a protest filed. I called O'Connor and was told we don't show an account for you do you have a number. Once I provided it I was placed on hold and then told oh well we had a hearing in May never provided the date to me too bad if you did not get any information provided to your email or home... We could not lower the value and not sure what to tell you. I think there was no protest filed for me both of my neighbors still reflect that have protests filed. Poor service to say the least. I want documentation of the hearing between them and HCAD that they did something not just some one telling me oh well.
