The date of this violation was in 2/22/2023 but letter that I got in the mail is dated 10/7/2024. The was no ticket on my car telling me to pay any kind of fee. Sending a fee over 20 months later, well over a year, something is definitely not right with this business. Stop taking advantage of people and run your business correctly. Put a ticket on car causing the violations and take a picture of the ticket and send us a letter in the mail within 3 months at the latest. Not well over a year and telling us we didnt pay when we did. Is that why you come after us well over a year because we dont have our billing statements to back us up? Being snakes in the grass for a business? International Parking Management needs to be a lot better in handling their fees or just dont run a business.Initial Complaint

I received a Notice of Unpaid Parking Violation Fee notice (Notice # **********; attached) in my mailbox on 11/28/2024. It's from *** for their Lot 5th & *******. This notice states that "this is your final notice from our office" and they will forward it to a collection agency unless "full payment is received in our office with ten (10) calendar days from the date of this letter" and they labeled the letter date as Octorber 16, 2024. This is the first communication I have received regarding the alleged violation, which supposedly occurred on 01/07/2023nearly two years ago. I was NEVER issued a physical ticket on my vehicle at the time, nor did I receive any previous statements by mail. After reviewing my records, I recall visiting the restaurant associated with the lot on the date in question. I am certain that I parked in the designated restaurant parking area and displayed the restaurant-issued parking sign in my front window as required. The *** notice only provides a black-and-white image of my license plate but does not include any evidence that I parked improperly or failed to pay. Again, there is NO photo of a ticket left on my windshield (They probably intentionally avoid doing so because if such a photo is available, it will definitely show the restaurant-issued parking sign as well). The notice alleges a letter date of 10/16/2024, but it arrived over a month later, on 11/28/2024. There is no evidence that this notice was actually mailed on the claimed date, raising concerns about procedural fairness. Waiting over *********************** about an alleged violation with NO adequate proof is unacceptable and suspicious. I noticed similar complaints posted here recently and I strongly feel like they are doing a SCAM. Please investigate this company and its suspicious practice!!!!!Initial Complaint

I am writing in response to Ref #********** from 12/22/23. This alleged parking violation happened almost 12 months ago when *** first contacted me in July 2024 with a vague threat to pay $80 or risk penalties (7 months following the alleged parking violation). The signage states that parking is free in the Meyden for retail customers for up to 3 hours. I was in CVS for far less than 3 hours. I called CVS on 7/28 and spoke with the manager (**** ****) and he confirmed that there is free parking for *** customers. I took a photo of where I parked and shared it with IPM. *** took approx. 4 months to respond to my dispute submission and merely responded with "Only certain spots are reserved for the businesses, and they are clearly marked" and closed my dispute without any opportunity to respond or ask for more information. *** has not provided any photographic evidence of the alleged parking violation (just a photo of my license plate) and has not attempted to resolve this issue in a timely or reasonable manner given their slow communication and hard to reach staff. Multiple attempts at calling redirects to the dispute form. Given their information advantage, they should hold the burden of proof and failed to communicate the bare minimum to help me understand how I apparently violated their parking rules. I want *** to remove me from their records as owing them $80. I owe them $0.Initial Complaint

Over a year ago I went to ********* headquarters for a work event. I paid for my parking and attended the event. Over a year later I get a letter in the mail stating I owe $80 in late fees due to not paying for parking. I contacted *** to dispute the claim and they responded that this dispute is closed and that payment needs to be made. I asked for a picture of the ticket because I never had one on my car. They never responded back. Due to me selling my home and potentially needing a loan I paid the fine. However this is extortion and they charged me a fine for something I already had paid.Business response

Good Afternoon,
We do not have any records of the customer contacting our office. However, if they can provide us with the license plate number, we will check pictures for violations.
Please note that the ********* headquarters parking lot is free for visitors to the office or store. Depending on which office you are visiting, there are 30-minute and 2-hour parking stalls. The only enforcement in the lot is for overstaying the time limits, parking improperly, or parking without conducting business at the building.
We look forward to hearing back from the customer so we can start the investigation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,Customer response

I received in the mail a letter saying I had an unpaid parking ticket for $60 from IPM from 4/23/23 - that is a year and a half ago. How would I be able to prove I paid for parking from 18 months ago? This letter says that "This is your final notice from our office" yet I've never received and notification from them at all and there has not been a time I had a paper ticket on my car window. It also shows a picture of the back of my car in some unknown location. I actually wondered if IPM was a real company or if this was just some kind of scam. After looking them up I see they are a real company who is obviously using predatory tactics. How is this the first time I'm hearing this in a year and a half? How am I supposed to go that far back in my life and make any reference about what happened that day at 2:22 pm ? This is Notice # ********** License Plate WA - ******* Location *******************************Initial Complaint

On 10/21 I recieved a Parking Violation Notice from *** in the mail. (The letter, as per the date delineated on it, was sent on 10/16). The notice entailed a threat of sending to collections within 10 daysgiving me 5 days, given the disparity between sent/recieved dates. However, this is the least of my concerns, what's more confusing is that the alleged violation occurred on 1/7? In the past 10 months I have not gotten a single letter from this company, yet I am somehow on my final notice. Lastly, and the **most** concerning element of this case, is that no ticket/citation was placed on my car this day (or ever, in years). Hence, I was completely blind-sided & taken aback by this (likely errant) notice. The photo enclosed in the letter of my alleged "violation" does not show a citation placed on my car, and my car doesn't even appear to be in a lot. Upon searching my license plate on the listed payment website, I don't even see a ticket attached which I can address. What am I even paying for, and how can I even go about doing so? Note: these are rhetorical questions, truly, as I hesitate procuring a dime for such an untrustworthy, dishonest, & unorganized company. The * rating granted by BBB is certainly meritedInitial Complaint

I received the attached notice in my mailbox today. It is a Notice of Unpaid Parking Violation Fee, Notice #********** from IPM for their Lot 50 location, which I have no idea where Lot 50 is. This notice states that "this is your final notice from our office" and they will forward it to a collection agency unless "full payment is received in our office with ten (10) calendar days from the date of this letter" and in the lower section they labeled the letter date as September 25, 2024. I NEVER received prior communications regarding the stated violation that supposedly occurred on 05/28/2023. It has been well over a year since the claimed incident happened and this is my first time hearing about it. I did not get a ticket on my window, nor any statements in the mail. They only provide a black and white picture of the back of a black ****** Highlander. I cant even see the plate in the picture nor tell the location. They provided NO proof of no payment and no proof I was parked in a paid parking lot. It doesnt make sense that they would wait over 16 months to send me anything. This letter also arrived past the 10 days after the claimed letter date. There is no proof that they mailed the statement on 9/25/2024. They could've mailed this yesterday. The picture provided does not provide proof that I parked at the claimed location at claimed time without paying properly (again, no ticket on my window). This company seems shady and I feel like this letter is a complete SCAM. I am not accepting a parking ticket with no adequate proof, especially over 16 months after the claimed date of violation. There are a lot of other victims that have shared similar experiences. Please investigate this company!!!!!Business response

I received a bill in the mail today 10/10/2024, for a parking infraction from 2/19/2023. The letter states that the violation was for "No Advance Payment". I have record from my baking statement that shows we did pay for parking that day at this location. I have filed a dispute with the company on their website, but given the number of complaints here at BBB, I am concerned that my dispute will not be resolved. This feels like a scam.Initial Complaint

I received a final notice for a violation on 3/24/23 that arrived on 10/3/24 with a letter date of September ******* how is this allowed? The vehicle is under my name and I do not personally drive this vehicle as it's for my parents.IPM needs to do better and actually mail out violations and take a picture of the violation notice they say they left on the car which I will have no idea as I was not driving the vehicle the picture provided just shows the back of the vehicle not sure that is proof I was given a notice. I would have paid this off right away if I was mailed a notice within those 14 days limit before the late fee was added but now I am threatened with a final notice that is way past the ten calendar days from the date of the letter. I am not even a customer/consumer to this companies service as I don't ever go to *******, nor was I the one to pay for parking at the time of violation and now if I do I will never use any IPM parking or anything related to them because of this experience. Update your system to be fair and less predatory for future customers like mail the notice in a timely manner so the owner of the vehicle that wasn't there to deal with the issue.violation number: **********Initial Complaint

I am writing to dispute an unjust IPM parking violation ticket of $80 Notice# **********. I received the violation ticket on 09/08/2024 6:34PM for violation of parking. However, on 09/08/2024, I paid $11.71 for parking with confirmation code ******** at 5:58PM. The receipt is attached for your reference. And I also have witnesses. As you can see from the attached proof of payment, I have indeed paid for parking during the time of the alleged violation (the pass allows me to park from 05:58 PM to 09:58 PM). I have contacted the **** / Laz Parking] via multiple email addresses to appeal my case. I also made the phone call to [**************], their customer service insisted that I must follow the instruction on my parking violation ticket to dispute, however, there is no instruction at all for me to follow, only a website to direct me to pay the full bill. And the customer service dropped my call abruptly and rudely without providing further assistance. Therefore, I respectfully request that this parking violation ticket be dismissed. Thank you.
