BBB files contain a pattern of complaints from consumers which alleges issues with refunds/exchanges. Specifically, consumers report consumers report being unhappy with the refund policy, being offered only 30% despite the website advertising, "30-day money-back guarantee." On December 19, 2024, BBB sent correspondence to Hike Footwear requesting their voluntary cooperation in providing steps it will implement to eliminate the pattern of customer complaints.  As of January 16, 2025, BBB has received no response from the company.

    I ordered shoes as the wear advertised for plantar fasciitis and the photos appeared to show adequate arch support. Once I received and look at the flimsy construction and lack of arch support I placed the back in the package. I emailed to return. Their advertisement stated 30 day free trial and easy returns. I now have had multiple back and forth emails with offers for me to keep the shoes for a 10% refund, 50% refund. When I emailed and stated this was not acceptable I received yet another email but no information on how to return only that I have to pay to return. I have been emailing daily since 10/1/24.

    Bought 2 pairs of shoes online. They were too small. I requested a refund and they asked if I would like to try a bigger size. I opted to try the next size up. The new shoes are still to small. I have requested a return and refund. Their reply: Hi ****,We're really sorry to hear that the replacement pair didnt fit as expected. Unfortunately, once a replacement order has been processed, our system is unable to accept refunds or returns for the original purchase. ?Thank you for your understanding!

    I ordered a pair of shoes for ***** from this company on Sept. 1st, 2024. I had not received them and on Sept 3rd I noticed in my checking account online that they took out another *****. about a week or so later I received the shoes! so I wrote the company and told them I needed the ***** refunded to my account I only ordered 1 pair of shoes so please refund my money. meanwhile after around 2 weeks or so I received another pair. So I have written them over and over now and they said let us know if you want to send them back you can but before you do that make sure you get a confirmation number from us or we can not accept the return of them. Therefore I have written them over and over again asking for a confirmation number so I can send them back they have never answered me. I cannot afford another pair of these shoes order# ****** can you please help me in this situation? Im sure they are just making me wait so they can say its been more than 30 day and you cant return them now. I have the other pair of shoes still in the bag an ready to send back with no confirmation number please can you help??

    Joining the ranks of many Hike footwear complaints regarding their return policy which was not stated clearly on their website. I ordered a pair and realized I had ordered the wrong style so I contacted the company and ordered the pair I wanted, assuming that I would be credited for the ones I didn't want.. I had to write the company, was contacted they had a 'green initiative' and I could keep the shoes and they'd refund 30% (why would I keep shoes I don't want) I I ordered the style I did want assuming this would be an easy exchange and I would be credited for the shoes I wanted to return and now I'm afraid of what may happen if the other shoes I ordered were not satisfactory.

    Hike footwear is a very very deceptive company. I went through 9 emails before I was offered a 30% refund for shoes that are glorified water shoes. These are not helpful for anyone with neuropathy. On my tenth Email they offered me 50% refund. They wear you down with the emails so that you will give up and take less. Through all those emails I was never once given a return address for a full refund. Do not do business with this company. I doubt that I will ever see my 50% refund. This company needs to be held accountable.

    Hike Footwear contacted me this very day to refund my money for terrible shoes.   Thank you.  I'm sure it's because BBB told them of the complaint. Nobody would respond until now. Again, I appreciate your assistance in the matter.

    On March 8, 2024 I ordered one pair ladies SP hike footwear (on my chase **** I was charged ***** on March 9, 2024. I never rec'd a notice of delivery, so on 4/4/24 I emailed them asking them when I could expect the delivery and they told me it had been "tagged as delivered". I wrote back to them (several times) telling them I had NOT rec'd this item. They sent me the link to track the order and on June 25th I was able to see that they shipped it to the wrong address - A previous residence that I moved out of over 15 years ago. I've been communicating with ***************** Rep ********* *****. I would like to have either my money back, OR the item I originally ordered.     I purchased a pair of shoes from hike Footwear. I was under the impression the company was based out of *******. It took 2 weeks for my package to have a delivery date. Through the tracking feature on their website it said the package had arrived at customs( internationally) on the date it was set to be delivered (8/31/24) I arrived home to find no package. I reached out to hike Footwear via email explaining the situation. I received a email from them stating I needed to ask around to my neighbors and the postal service. I attempted to call their offices numerous times to be met with a we are experiencing high call volumes and to be on hold indefinitely. I also contacted **** who notified me that my tracking number was not valid. All other attempts to contact hike Footwear about a replacement item or refund has gone unanswered.

    I purchased two pairs of shoes which were delivered on August 16th. I responded according to their return policy via email on August 18th, 2024. I received only one response requesting the reason for the return. I responded promptly and they have never responded since. I cannot get a hold of this company at all. I simply want them to honor their return policy which is listed on their website. I don't want anything more and I don't want anything less. I'm requesting your assistance and holding them accountable for their own policy.
