I was looking over my statement and saw a charge for $1 from this company on January 7 and now I have a charge for $39.95 dated Jan 24. On 1/24/25 I applied for a personal loan. The site required my debit card for what was advertised as a $1 fee for a credit check. Since then I was charged $39.95.I called my bank as well as the number listed on the bank statement ************. Upon calling the company they stated that I had accepted a subscription. However, I did not. I requested to speak to speak to management, as I was being denied a refund. I went to the site provided and logged into the account. That I did not even have a password for. I requested a password resent be sent to my email. Upon logging in, I found the subscription section of the site. Under which, it listed that I had no subscription. After this conversation, being refused a refund, being refused to speak to a different representative, and checking the site online; I rechecked my bank account. And a refund had just been issued.Business response

My name is ****** **** III, I had a charge on my card on 01/19/2025 that I did not authorize. I attempted to contact the company to get a refund and wish quickly told by the gentleman on the phone that they could only issue 50% refunds, and when I attempted to tell him that that was untrue, and that the service is not even 30 days old, and that I did not authorize it, and that I know he can issue a full refund. The gentleman I spoke to cut me off and said I'm the one that's talking right now, you're going to listen to me until I finish, at which point I told him I'm not sure who he thinks he's talking to, but I'm not that guy. He continued to make smart remarks, and almost refused to give me his information, which I'm not even sure is true. The name that he gave me was ***, and his employee ID number was *******. I did not sign up for the service, I did not authorize the payment on my card, especially not for $39.95 for a service that I do not use. I am seeking a full refund, and an apology for the way that employee spoke to me.Business response

THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY THAT STEALS INFORMATION FROM CONSUMERS WHO ARE SEARCHING FOR LOANS.While i was looking for loan options after a life event, i was unknowingly signed up for a subscription to *************, a website i have never heard of. It was not until today that i realized i was getting charged $39.95 for a subscription I had no idea existed. I have no prior emails from this company. I did not authorize this subscription and need to be refunded approximately $240.70 for the fraudulent charges.If no refund is sent in the next 3 business days I will be pursuing legal action.Business response

I filled this app out and paid a trail of a dollar. I followed the instructions to cancel before it ended but no where could I find a way to cancel. They refused to refund as I couldnt find a number through their website till a cleared transaction happened on my bank statement. Transaction on 01/10/2025 from PVER3.US8886056664 for *****. I have no idea who this is. I called the 888 number and they stated that I had signed up for a credit monitoring service. I had not signed up for this, nor is it needed. I had asked that it be refunded and cancel the service. They stated that they could only refund 50% of the charge. I then asked for a supervisor, they stated that none were available. I persisted and they then stated that they could refund 75%. Upon further YELLING they refunded the full amount and cancelled.Business response
