I was told i would be consolidating my credit cards (3) into one lower payment. I made payments (auto pay) out of mu account monthly for around $267.47 for over a year. When i tried to contact anyone, there was no one to physically talk too. Left a message on voicemail they provided and still heard nothing. I get a monthly statement to my email saying they took the payment out. Totaling over $3,000 and none of my credit cards have been paid off. I canceled the autopay with my bank and had to get a new checking account. Im just wondering if there is any way to get my money back, or at least warn others to this scam.

This company is predatory. I had a debt of $11,000 that was negotiated down to $5500. But they only pass about half of my monthly payment on to creditor; the rest is kept for vague fees. In the end, I will have paid over $15,000 on that original debt of $11,000, with about $10,000 of that just being fees claimed by Global Holdings. Stay far away from this predatory practice. This isn't explained when you sign up; you're led to believe that your settlement plus their fees will total less than the original debt, which sounds like a win-win for all, but you'll end up paying 50% MORE than the initial debt.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/02/16) */ Thank you for the opportunity to clarify our role. The debt settlement provider you signed up with is the right resource for program specific information, such as creditor settlements, program progress and timeline. Their customer support team can address your questions and concerns with your account. Global does not provide the debt settlement services, just the FDIC-insured account and payment processing for the transactions triggered by the progress in your debt settlement program. After reviewing your account, we have no record of you contacting us for account specific information. I would like to encourage you to reach out to your debt settlement provider and discuss these concerns with them. You may reach "Newport Client Service" at 855-202-6275 If you have remaining questions regarding your Global account, we are here to help, and you can contact us at your convenience at (800) 398-7191. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2023/02/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I attempted to contact you (Global) after Newport passed the buck to you; the phone rang and rang, and then the call was dropped. My concern is that your fees are ridiculously excessive, especially considering you don't actually do anything but play middleman between me and Newport. I was shocked to find out that most of what I'd sent in the past year was claimed by you for fees; instead of having paid off most of the settlement, I discovered that you'd only passed along about 25% of what I'd paid. Of course I knew that you would charge fees, but I did not know that these fees would be so enormous. They certainly weren't presented to me that way. Look, I know that I'm probably stuck in my situation. You certainly won't care to have mercy on a faceless fool like me who just wants to find a way out of this poverty and debt cycle and take care of his loved ones. But I want others to avoid this trap. You claim to help and to provide debt relief to struggling people, but you're just another predator trying to steal the kill from previous creditors.

Was talked into a product by a sales rep over the phone for a debt resolution product- after making it sound almost too good to be true and agreeing to the offer - I found out it was only limited information given to me they sent over a notary with a pile of papers for me to initial and sign - after signing on Friday 12/30/22 and providing my bank account info for the monthly cost - I got a welcome email on Monday 1/4/23, charged $600 on 1/6/23 and a call from a lawyer on Tuesday 1/11/23 from the firm handling the case?. While talking to the global holdings lawyer he dove deeper into the the details - details that would have swayed my initial decision - once he told me this program will effect my credit to the point I wouldn't not be able to get a mortgage for 7 years or even co-sign for one - that piece of information right there had me say cancel it right away. He seemed to understand why I want to cancel - He said since it's within 30 DAYS of canceling I would he entitled to my full refund of $600 after that he made it seem like it was no problem - i called a few days later because I received a text to call them for service (should have already been canceled) - that guy who said it was no problem didn't even cancel it until I called again that day. I then got an email on 1/18/23 saying "After applying any fees due, there are funds due to you in the amount of $56.49" -_- ... it is now 2/14/23 I called them 4 times since cancelling to check refund status and I still am getting no where. I applied for this debt relief to help me and now I'm $543.51 less on my bills since they couldn't truly help me. I have called them multiple times for them to give me the run around "it's being processed". I got $56 in 5 days of canceling this service where is the remainder of my canceled service. They gave me a ticket number but I have not been set right. I need to pay my bills with the money they're holding hostage.

I'm a US Army veteran that was sadly scammed out of a few hundred dollars by this law firms faudulent and criminal actions. This law firm made promises that they would help me get out of debt by negotiating a payoff amount with my creditors. They told me I would be able to keep all my accounts open to be used when the process was completed. They told me it would help my credit score and it would take two years to complete the process. They sent someone to my house to sign the contract on 11/26/2022. I was told that I couldn't keep a copy of the contract and that the contract would only be valid once I received a copy by mail. I spoke to my fiance about the agreement and he informed me that no debt relief agency can guarantee the outcomes I was promised. So I called to cancel the next day. I was told I would have to call back on Monday 11/28/2022. I called Monday and was assured that my account was canceled and that I would receive a full refund of the $461.42 that was transferred from my account. I will shorten this complaint due to lack of "remaing characters". I waited...I called... I was assured repeatedly that I would receive my refund. I received and email from ********* Consumer Law Group that basically said I would be refunded a fraction of my payment. I called and asked why I wasn't getting the full amount back since no services were performed for me on my behalf. The representative assisting said I had to pay fees but was unable to tell me what the fees were for. I didsome research and found that the Global Holding LLC, ********* Consumer Law Group, and ********* Law group are all connected. I just want my money back.

Global Holdings LLC is a company that I used as a debt relief to help repay credit card debt. I was debited $400 per month for a period over 12 months. I had two cards that Global was helping to repay and negotiate the debt down. I was told by Global via phone that one card (Capital One) had been settled and that the second card (Chase) was not yet settled. At this point, the Capital One card was supposedly settled and closed and I decided to stop utilizing Global for the other card (Chase). In our agreement, it states that I have the right to stop and request my funds back at any point. Since the Capital One card was settled, I decided to do that. Furthermore, I have since been contacted by Capital One directly stating I have a balance nearly $18,000 and they are threatening to sue me if I do not begin to pay the debt. I contacted Global about it. I asked for documents showing all the transactions where they took funds from my bank account and also the transactions where they paid Capital One. I received a few documents showing they paid Capital One $225 over a period of a few months. I then asked where did the rest of my funds go. I was not given an answer and they stated they could not send me the information. I am requesting all funds be refunded to me or I will pull all of my bank account transactions showing where Global charged my bank account, utilize an attorney, and file with the court system as I am not receiving the information I have requested and am now at risk of being sued by Capital One because Capital One does not show where any payments were made for this account.

Was a victim of substantial misrepresentation and deceptive practices. Was taken advantage of due to covid, paid for their services to assist with debt consolidation. Was not advised that they wouldn't make payments to creditors, and was not advised they collect a $25,000+ fee BEFORE they act on my behalf and negotiate debt. None of my debts were resolved after almost three years and my fee was paid; cancelled the program because no actions were taken in their behalf and they advised me that not a penny of my fee was refundable. Again, I've paid over $25000 in fees for them to do nothing. All that exchanged was my money into their acct...not once was a debt resolved. Or even a call made from them to a creditor. It was a victim of fraud, unfair and deceptive practices.
