I googled CCS collections and ************ number came up, I called them on 6-21-24 and told them I needed to talk about an outstanding account in collections with Allstate where I owe $302, the representative ******** asked me if I wanted the account to come off from my credit and I said yes, she then said it would cost me upwards of over $200, I think it was like $279, I said I didn't have that much money so she said she was going ask her supervisor if I could pay less, then she said due to hardship I could pay $199 and settle this account for good with Allstate. Said she was going to send me a contract, after I perused the contract I saw that it was an initial fee of $199 and $99 every month, I told her I didn't want to be part of an ongoing service, I just needed to pay this account and move on, I told her I didn't need help with my credit other than settling this account. She said she could see that and that I was not signing in for anything other than getting this one account taken care of. I paid the $199. After I got home and had time to review the paperwork, I realized this is a credit repair company not a collections agency, so I called them back on 6-24-24 and asked them to refund me the money I paid since they misrepresented themselves. I was told that a letter of dispute had already been sent on my behalf on 6-21-24 and since services were rendered then I couldn't get a refund but an investigation was going to start and they will contact me within 48hrs, Shortly after I received an email with a copy of the dispute letter dated 6-24-24. Meaning they didn't send it on 6-21-24, on 6-25-24 I received a phone call saying that I signed their contract and the money can't be refunded. I believe they grossly misrepresented themselves and the services they provide, I made myself very clear on what I needed and knowing that it was not the service they provide, they still took my money. I am asking for a full refund. Allstate never received the $199.

We are happy to answer. Consumer contracted our business to draft and send disputes regarding incorrect information about a debt collection account. We provided service as agreed. As consumer was made aware on the call, in the signup flow, our website, and the contract, we cannot and will not make promises or guarantees as to outcomes as we have no control over the result of the disputes we send. Consumer's account with us has been cancelled and they will no longer be billed.

I am rejecting this response because:
I would like a refund of the money initially charged to me since I was misled as to what the funds were going to be used for. I made myself very clear when I said I was calling to pay off an outstanding debt, I was told the amount needed to pay off that debt was $199. I was told that would be sufficient to remove this record from my credit. Now you are saying you have no control over outcomes. Thats not what I was told. I would like my $199 refunded immediately.
    Sincerely,

Signed up for Credit Glory on June 21st. Based on me and wife's discussion, we then felt like credit glory was not a good fit for us at this time. Upon reading through my contract to see if we are within the timeframe needed to cancel, I did learn that I have 3 days to cancel and that payment should not have been processed until work had been COMPLETED on my account, and no work had been COMPLETED. Additionally there I tried calling back Credit Glory a few hours later and they were closed. They claim to have done the work before charging me, however that is not true. They charged me during enrollment because I saw the transaction appear on my bank account. ********************** is claiming that they sent out disputes on 06/21, however I have NO RECORD of that, only verbal notification this morning when I called to ask for a refund.Per the contract "To pay CG a fee of $378.00 after initial work is complete", the representative said that sending out disputes is considered "work complete", arguably, that just means work has been initiated.I made the payment around 4:45p-5pm EDT (attached is a screenshot of when I was actually charged!) and disputes were said to be sent out 5:25p EDT and 5:30p EDY which STILL, is me being charged BEFORE work was even initiated and completed.Additionally, the Notice of Cancellation states that I have 3 days from the date of the contract to cancel without any penalty or obligation, they charged me $378.00 and are declining to refund me, sounds like I was obligated! --- I signed up on 6/21, tried to call back that same day to cancel couldn't get ahold of them, tried to email TWICE and got error emails saying email can't be sent to that email address even though they have that email address ON THE CLIENT PORTAL to send emails to, called on 6/24 to cancel and they declined to refund me, only to cancel my subscription going forward.

On May 13, 2024 I was asked by my new employer to handle 2 small issues on my credit totaling roughly $700. I contacted the phone number listed on Credit Karma to pay these debts and I was brought to Credit Glory, a debt relief company who promised me they would dispute these 2 charges and improve my credit score by 80 points if I paid them roughly $300.Today is June 21, 2024 and my credit score has dropped 55 points since my interaction with Credit Glory. When I contact them to ask what is happening they assure me my credit is fine and they are working handily to remove these charges. Ive since been denied a corporate credit card I need for my job due to my credit falling so far over 5 short weeks. I dont understand how highering a credit repair company can ruin your credit and quite frankly your life and you allow this company to operate. All I have read online about credit glory are similar stories to this from others and its very clear to me that I and others have been scammed. They have no direct website. They have no link to set up an online account. There is no proof that they are actually working to help resolve my situation. Ive paid them $400 to destroy my credit and jeopardize my job. This is unfair beyond comprehension and Im begging someone to help me.

I paid credit glory hundreds of dollars to submit credit disputes on my behalf. None of the credit bureaus have record of any disputes. I have asked that credit glory provide proof of those letters being sent which they refused to do and have refused a refund as well

business has provided no proof that services were completed. Business claims that letters have been sent to all three credit bureaus on my behalf. All three credit bureaus  have indicated that the reports were never received. I asked for proof of services rendered and was not provided. I will be consulting an attorney if I do not receive either a refund or proof of services rendered

I signed up for Credit Glory, believing it was AMSHER COLLECTIONS, trying to pay off debt. They claimed to have worked with the collection agency but Ive now learned it isnt true. I want to cancel the services, as they are charging my 99$ a month. There are three seperate transactions so far. I had read that Credit Glory is a scam and I would like to cancel and dispute these transactions. The first charge was an initial 199$ for to sign up for their subscription and then one month 99$ charge, totaling in a loss of 300$The first charge of 199$ was may 13, 2024.The second charge of 99$ was June, 13, 2024.

I called because I received an email that said they were a collection agency. But it was not it was credit glory offering to fix my credit. I paid $1.00 For them to run my credit and tell me what they could do for me. Next I paid them $79 with the remainder $120 in a few weeks. The first two days I could get on the website and look. After that, I could not get on it for anything. I changed my password several times without any luck. I went on the BBB to read the reports and all of The complaints sound exactly like mine. I do not want to pay $99 a month and get nothing. Thank you.

Business stated they could help increase credit score by consolidating outstanding collection account. When I called today (6/11) to confirm how much I had remaining to pay, not one single individual could confirm any account information nor could they reach an account manager to confirm any information on the account. They stated that they needed access to my credit report to confirm any information. If this was a legitimate consolidation business they would have all of this information in their records and be able to inform me what I had left to pay down. Due to lack of transparency and information available, I got the impression that this is actually a scam business. (378$ transaction on 2/33, 99$ transaction on 3/25, 99$ transaction on 4/23 and 99$ transaction on 5/23)

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I have attached a copy of the contract. After reading back through the contact, the representative I spoke with was misleading, stating the initial fee and monthly fees would go to collection agencies to pay off accounts in collections. The contract states that it's to pay this company to monitor my credit.

At the very least, this business is operating under false pretenses in that the consumers are led to believe that their money is going to debt consolidation and paying off debt. I've literally spent 675$ under this assumption and the accounts are still unpaid in collections. This is money that could have gone to actually helping myself out instead of a business. This is misleading the consumer.

    Sincerely,
